Error code r5 on Tanita BF-350

Just spoke with Tanita Tech support- r5 indicates if the scale is in PC mode (able to receive data from scale). There is a button sequence to toggle between PC mode and stand-alone mode.1. Press&Hold Zero button, then Press&Hold On/Off.2. Release.3. Arrow buttons toggle between PC mode and Stand-Alone, select which mode you would like.4. Press Set button to select mode.Hope this helps!
