The links are removed by a variety of methods. Look at the side of the link, is there a small pin? if so there will be an arrow on the back of the link. this is the direction to push the pin out. there also may be a flat pin in the end on the back of the link you will see a little round hole covering half the pin this will need a jeweller to remove.

Hi Leigh. The battery supplies voltage to a precise timing circuit to generate brief pulses of low voltage electricity to a magnetic coil which swings a weighted cam (wheel) to keep everything in motion. This cam or some other mechanical part may have become dislodged or misaligned, causing drag. In a nutshell, a watchmaker will need to inspect it for wear. Could be a jewel-bearing has fallen out. Sorry... New or not SWISS use the second hand as an early indicator of the battery state. My memory is that it starts by skipping seconds... Then the second hand stops... Then the watch... ELSE The movement is bad. If it is INDEED NEW... Take it back & get yourself a fresh one. Carnac the Magnificent

Why not to go to repair shop and pay them a couple of bucks? For these they'll clean it with high pressure air in addition :-)

Send it back... It shouldn't do that, it has a broken setting lever.

Try www.strapcode.com. You'll need to know the width of the band in millimeters, but you should have plenty of replacement choices.

If the day will not change when you pull the crown out to the first position (try both directions) then pull the crown out to the second position. Advance the hands until yesterday shows in the day window. Now set the date by putting the crown in the first position and set it to yesterdays date. Now advance the hands (position 2 until the date and day change and then set the time. Done
