To remove the light diffuser on a 500 Series Sub-Zero refrigerator and freezer compartment:
  1. Place your hands on the back edge of the shield and pull towards you to release. This shield may have a snug fit.
  2. Drop the front edge of the shield out of the channel and remove. The bulbs are now accessible.

Zero degrees Fahrenheit is the correct temperature for a freezer which is -18'C.

Also, that may be the 'Set Temperature' as opposed to the temperature inside the cabinet.

If it remains that way (warm), you need an engineer.

The refrig has been set to run and cool the interior too low. Turn off the refrig of awhile and let the ice melt. The ice build up may also been caused by poor sealing around the doors and too much humidity in the air. Once the ice has melted, turn it back on and set the temperature inside the refrig to 37 to 40F. The Freezer needs to be set at 0 or about -2F. If the controls don't function right, they may need replacing or a temperature sensor may need replacing. That should be handled by a service tech.
