i turned on my ps3 and it goes itself on safe mode.I tryied to turn off and on but same thing and i dont have ds3 how can i repair it?Is it corrupted or...is it deleted PLS SOMEONE ANSWER :(

There is a "fix". On the Sony website there are multiple links from where you can download the file, but not every file is the same. If you download the one from the top of the website (about 206mb) it should work. When you take the file from down below on the website (about 205mb) you will get the error code...

Question edited for clarity. Question moved from Computers to PS3. The controller is wireless and connects to the PS3 using the USB Dongle that plugs into the USB Port on the PS3. How do I pair my Afterglow Wireless controller to my USB dongle?

1. Plug the new USB dongle into your PS3.
2. Now, press and hold the Home button (power button) on the controller until the LED on the USB dongle and the 4 indicator LED's on the controller are solid.

Blinking memory card light means that the PSP is not reading the memory card. Try to take out the memory card and turn on the PSP. See if the console will boot up. If console will boot up then you need to replace the memory card. Ttry pushing also the memory stick in all the way for about 2 seconds, then let go, and if the light stops flashing it should work.

A disc read error means you will need a new Blu-ray drive. A blu-ray drive can fail to read Blu-ray but play DVD or CD OK. (Or any combination) A new blu-ray drive requires calibration. Contact Sony for the service center you can send it to. www.sony.com

Will it play anything? The laser eye may need to be cleaned. Sometimes the drive will play DVDs but not games, or games and bluray movies, but not DVDs .... in that situation, the bluray laser may need to be replaced

f the Blu-ray Disc does not support 1080p 24Hz video mode, the video output may not display properly.

If a Blu-ray Disc movie is not loading properly or is freezing on a title screen, this may be caused by the PLAYSTATION 3 attempting to download BD-Live content from congested movie studio servers. If you experience this issue, you may choose to temporarily bypass the BD-Live content until the congestion at the movie studio servers has cleared.

Go to Settings icon (Settings) > Video Settings icon (Video Settings) > [BD Internet Connection], select "Confirm". Then reload the Blu-ray movie and the PLAYSTATION 3 will prompt you if you wish to allow the disc to access BD-Live content. Choose to not access BD-Live content to see if the movie will now load. For some reason you seem to think this is a PS3 problem. Why do you think this is a PS3 problem? If you can play PS3 games, then I will say it is not a PS3 problem, as all PS3 games are on Blu-ray, and if you were having problems playing PS3 games, then that could account for the movie not working.

Since only the movie isn't working, I am going to say you have a defective Blu-ray disc. Did you just buy this movie, or have you viewed it before using the PS3? If you have never viewed it on the PS3, then the problem lies in the disc, and you need to take it back and have it exchanged.

If you have played the disc in the PS3 before (the PS3 you are having a problem with, not a different PS3 or Blu-ray player), or you still think it is a PS3 problem, then use the "Disc Troubleshooting" support page. Normally, if a Blu-ray movie will not play, it won't play at all, and it is because the Blu-ray laser has gone out. It sounds to me that the disc is bad, but this is only going on the information you have supplied.

The blueray eye is out. You will need a new blueray player. The only problem with that is the ps3 will only respond with the orginal parts it came with. ( i.e. motherboard blueray player ) So the best bet is to buy a broken blueray player and take the eye out and replace it with yours just the eye not the whole thing.

Try using a lens cleaning disc. If that doesn't help your PS3's disc drive is probably dying. Time to call Sony support...

I would start with a firmware update (2.60) and also a full system restore. That should fix the problem. Let me know. I'm a PS3 expert!

Well if the regular dvd's dont work.. I would recommend you to buy Blu-Ray movies instead.. PS3 is the best known blu-ray player. buy at least one blu-ray movie and try that.

The problem is all in the settings. You probably have a 1080i television that cannot display in 1080p. To fix this go to the main menu and go to:

Settings:

Video Settings

Then Blu Ray Disc and make it turn the Display BD in 1080p 24hz or whatever. Once you do that, start the Blu Ray Disc again, and you should be able to watch it. This all happened because your tv doesn't display 1080p.

have you tried holding down the reset button to turn off your console. Months before I bought my Ps2 I noticed my friends turning off their PS2's using the switch on the back. When i bought mine , months later i was invited to a friends house and noticed when he turned off his ps2 by holding the reset button down for a few seconds. After playing on their trampoline i went home and tried this reset button thing and it worked. Although i had the fat bulky ps2 this trick also works on slimline models too. This should solve your problem. The switch on the back i later found out was for when you wanted to turn off your ps2 during a thunderstorm.

You can try clear your movie data from the discs you\'ve played (according to Fox that\'s sometimes the culprit when a disc won\'t even load): restart your PS3 and go to the video menu and scroll up to the BluRay Data section. Go into it and check that it has saved some info for your movies. Now deleted all the data in this folder except the shared data crap, and hopefully your movies start perfectly!! If that fails try the following:In the XMB(menus) go to Settings ---> BD/DVD Settings ---> BD 1080p 24 Hz Output (HDMI). Turn that off. This has also been known to work.

you will have to crack it open again like you did before, when you have the metal case and the top guide cover off you will see 4 little rollers , two on each side, these guide the disk in. .
(with the console front facing you) in th middle you will see the offending white stopper, DONT TRY AND FORCE IT DOWN !!! this will really bugger it up.
the problem is , the system thinks there is still a disc in there , so were gunna trick it o.k ?
to do this you need the system on. for the sake of your eyes put the round white cup with the magnet in it over the lens,magnet side up.
VERY IMPORTANT !!! do not touch anything other than i say.....zap!
turn it on and touch the sensor to load it up (hold the cover over it to locate it exactly)
in front of the right front roller you will see a white stick poking up that has its own little track it can travel around. gently guide that stick back , you should notice the system starting to read and all the rollers will slide open (you may have to help them a little (touch only the rollers)
when there all back , you system thinks theres a disc in , so press the eject sensor (line it up with the cover again)
watch with joy as the white stopper drops down.

It could be the fact that your PS 2 console is very old then now and the mechanics and the parts inside of the console are starting to wear out and are no longer working anymore. You could buy a new one from JJ games and Lukie Games and Eadt Starland games and DkOldies.

you can change the region code with updates but its risky cos once you upload the update for the region code it may not let you play the other region coded games

it's easy..to solve it... i have same problem tooo...., i disamble my psp..try to replace lcd,,but same problem...., i figured it out... with full day thinking..., n rechecked all mainboard..., finally found the problem...., just email me...for those who want to solve this problem....
