I can presume that your monitor is turned ON or at standby power supply all the time 24/7. That makes the power supply is always availabe on circuit boards. 1. check the data cable or switch to new one... 2. Open your monitor there is data bus cable connected to LCD monitor from circuit board. clean it with CRC cleaner.. beware that the spray is done only and only on the socket of that cable.... 3. Reinsert that cable and check again... I think that due to continuous operation of LCD monitor some carbon has been deposited inside the jacket.

dear..... to do it set.... you have to open the box with due care as the electricity of the equipment should be turned OFF.... There is a main cable connected with the center of CRT and going onto a section of board called flyback.... is picture can easily been seen on net..... the rotate is anticlock slowly and you will find that brightness of you CRT is getting dimmer.... set is where you want.... actually its screen voltage regulation

Monitor has gone to monitor heaven. time to do some shopping since repair not cost effective.

Put the case back. CRT has high voltages that can kill you! Take it to someone who knows what they are doing.
