Siemens Dryers - Recent Questions, Troubleshooting & Support

All the problems are at the rear! The lint Warning Light is just an indication that the airflow is lacking.

Pull the dryer out, remove the hose. Clean the inside of the hose, clean and vacuum the pipe into the machine. Clean the vent through the wall and make sure the vent flaps on the outside open and close freely.

hello you will need to remove the back panel a lot of t20 torq screws then once the back panel comes of you will see the resetable thermostat on the right side just by the heater it will have a button on it right in the middle usually red just press this until you hear a click. If the stat has tripped check you vent it may be blocked or you may need a vent clean this part tripes when the dryer over heats.

Could be you accidently disconnected something with the vacuum head/end?

DISCONNECT AC then reopen to check for LOOSE WIRES and/or connectors not joined ~ not fully connected/joined or perhaps a wire is loose at it's mating connecting pin?

Gee, iIf anything a CLEANER dryer should run FASTER ~ just kidding.

Your bearing(s) on the drum need replaced. Do a search for appliance part, enter your make and model number and find the diagrams that will show the bearings. There are front and rear bearings. Note: they will not look like a traditional bearing so just find the diagram and search for bearings

It sounds like you might think you are sending this to Siemans? You aren't, Fixya is a self help website, people just like you helping others. Some of us are Experts on various subjects, like dryers.

Dryers need airflow and this lint filter just works out that either the temperature is getting too hot, or there is not enough airflow.

Trouble spots are usually the following;

Exhaust hoses too long.
Sharp bends on hoses.
Birds nests in hoses. Happened to me twice!
Wet lint build up as the hot wet air hits the first bend.
Plastic concertina hoses are really bad for air flow. Use the aluminium ones that are almost smooth.

Or my guess in your case, is vent flaps that are not opening fully or blocked. The whole external assembly with flaps and tube should be changed about every 5 years
