According to Sanyo support your are supose to plug the unit to the pc do a format of the drive (the unit or gps) and download the software included in your cd, that should fix it. If not they tell me to have the unit send to them. Mine did not work so i have to send it back good lock with yours!

If you delete all the information and dont make some back-up, its so hard that you can recovery this data. I suggest visit your delaer site and updated this maps from there.

Some programs recovery delete files, but alot times, this files are recovery with wrongs.

You can try Zandparts shop (www.asusparts.eu), the battery is listed in online catalog there.

I have the same problem. It may have something to do with battery. Try to charge it via your car. Or get a Garmin and never buy a Sanyo GPS again.

Yes, there is update, but for now , its just through the Sanyo official site, with little charges, and its more save and dependale, virus free.

Push the reset button for more than 15 second and try.
Mine had the same problem I solved it this way.

To upgrade vivisit Sanyo site, the NVM-4070 upgrade will cost some charges

Well it depend on the window you are using to run the sorftwere, you may need window XP, VSTA. to run it., and if you are installing the map through the sorftwere, you must be sure the computer you are using to run it conect to internet through when you finished, if not, some of the navigation function will fail to operate.

You must use the harger from the unit , If it is Flashing "SANYO" then off the Bat is dead , it must be charged using the 12v charger . It will not get enough power from A USB port .

Try to hold pressing the reset button for 15 second. Try it.

first,be sure that your machine can be connected to a computer maybe you get an cd with the driver and the program comunication between those two.
after instalation you can find on the net the last update ,download the file and just send it to your machine.

I returned the unit.......keep away from this product!!!!!

2. if not selltled, reset to factory setting,
3. or press the reset pin, rigth beside the ON and OFF button.

I have spent over a £1000 on GPS F/FINDER and RADIO with LOWRENCE, and I now have to join a forum to get a simple reply to my  problem I think that this is a poor back up service needs addressing
