I am unable to turn

Hello,

Aim your remote control at your television.

Press the menu button on your remote control. A menu with several options will pop up on your television screen.
Scroll through the menu and find the "closed caption" option. The option might be labeled "Closed Caption" or "CC." There are four closed captioning modes. Once you open the closed caption sub-menu from the main menu, the screen will inform you which closed captioning mode is currently being displayed.
Disable closed captioning. From the closed caption sub-menu, find the option labeled "CC Off," "Disable Closed Captioning" or any variation of these titles. Once you select this option, you can exit the menu, and closed captioning will be turned off.
I hope the above helps. If it doesn't help, please let me know so that I may direct you further.

Good luck.

Syncmaster 320 p screen goes blanc after 2 seconds

I just fixed two of these by replacing electrolytic capacitors in the power supply (in one unit, just the 2x1500uF smoothing caps, in the other I also had to replace a couple of 470uF). Diagnosed solely on the basis of the caps having 'swollen' tops (indicating that the electrolyte has dried?). Make sure you use 105 deg capacitors of the correct voltage. Symptoms were exactly as you describe.

Hello, i have a samsung

If this is an LCD or Plasma it may be some bad capacitors in the power supply. This is a common failure point on these newer sets. You can call in a repair shop or do the repair your self. Goto sites such as www.TvRepairKits.com and get their Capacitor Repair kit. It has a variety of capacitors that are most frequently found in these sets. It also includes instruction on how to locate and correcly replace any faulty capacitors in your TV.

We have sound but no

First, the T-CON board is part of the LCD panel assembly, you cannot get the T-CON board (see service manual), if some body is trying to sell you one you better call Better Business and report them!
The backlights inverter circuits may have gone out or the power supply is not feeding the DC to it.
You need to find out if you can see the backlights first.

You're either using a single link DVI cable (you need a dual link DVI cable for 2560x1600 resolution), or your video card doesn't support dual link DVI (which is required).

Main power supply board seems defective, replace it to get tv fix.
This monitor has two power supply boards side by side, small board calls standby power supply and bigger board is main power supply board that looks bad.
Nearest Samsung service center will help you to provide that power board.
Thanks.

Hi

Thanks for using FixYa. Please check the audio with a DVD player or cable box. Also try using component cables if using a RCA component cable or vice versa. Check that all of the cables are plugged into the back of the TV & MUTE button is not pressed. Do a hard reset by unplugging the power cord for more than 4 hours and power it again, then go into the on-screen-menu and make sure the sap is off and stereo in on. Also try audio from Phone and 3.5mm jacks (if equipped). If this all didn't resolves the issue then it is an Audio IC or bad speakers/speaker connection. Please do accept the solution if the issue is resolved else revert for further assistance.

Thanks

Power problem

Hello,

The power supply board is defective that's why the TV won't power up. Its receiving power but it cannot transfer the current to the necessary part of the TV because a capacitor, diode, etc may have been faulty. Until these bad components are replaced, the TV might not come on.

If you know about TV repairers, I would suggest that you open the TV and read the power board/panel with a meter, detect the bad component and replace it. Take note that TV stores a lot of current that can shock, so leave the TV for a while before you open it.

If you don't know about TV repairers, take the TV to the nearest repairman to fix the fault for you.

Take care.

I have the Samsung hlr5667w.

Hi,
Bulb/ Lamp in dlp tv has limited life span like 3000 working hours and after that some may got broken or start consuming more current than its rating that cause activation of protection circuit that monitors it and tv shuts down for safety purpose because more current consumption could cause damage of power supply or ballast supply board.
I assume that tv is 5 years old and bulb/ lamp has not been replaced yet so its time to replace it. You can swap tv bulb in any other similar tv, if possible, just to make sure that bulb is cause of problem before ordering new one.
Hope these info will help you.
Let me know if you have additional tv question.
Thanks.
