RUUD UBHC-17J14SFA HEATING PROBLEM. Is there a way
The blower speed can be changed somewhat the same way , but it will have to be rewired using one of the extra capped wires for a lower speed. That is if the other wires were not clipped and just capped
Electric furnace not working
Check for bad contacts between the wires and the heater elements. I've seen that problem on stoves and clothes dryers. If the insulation on the wires looks burned right at the terminals, that's a strong indication that the contacts are severely oxidized. in that case, it is necessary either to polish or replace the terminals. If the insulation on the wire is brittle due to overheating, you'll have to cut off the damaged section of wire and put on a new terminal. If the wire is too short after removing the bad part, it is best to replace the wire with equivalent high-temperature wire of the same size and color.
If you have a multi-meter, turn off the breaker for the furnace in the breaker panel, then measure the resistance of the heater element. If it is a value much larger than that shown on the schematic, start looking for bad terminals, It's possible the problem is where the heater element wire is crimped in its terminal; if so, you may have to replace the heater element.
Is a RUUD UBHC-14J11NFH a heat pump?

My Ruud silhouette II some times will not operate.
4 Blinks is an error code of a sticking pressure switch. A pressure switch is a safety, which in this case is being used to verify that your furnace is drafting properly. Yours in particular is sticking in the closed position even after the call for heat is satisfied. The control board checks to make sure the switch is open the next time there is a call for heat, and when it sees that the pressure switch is already closed even before the draft inducer motor comes on, it knows there is a problem....hence the error code. If you tap on the pressure switch, it may cause the contacts to open. Usually you will see a rubber hose attached to the pressure switch and 2 or three wires depending on what type of switch it is. You will probably have to replace the switch, but maybe this will get you thru the night. Hope this helps!
