Try another monitor as a test. If not the monitor, it might be the graphics card or even the power supply on the computer.

One thing to try is hooking it up to another computer. There is a possibility that the hard drive failed or the controller for the external storage device has failed. If it is recognized on another computer then I would look at the manufacturer's website for an updated driver

No. The monitor has no tuner in it and the scan frequencies used in TV's are different in monitors. Tuner modules will work on laptops and PC's with usb ports.

That depends upon what you are using with it. Monitors do not have integrated tuners and thus cannot select channels. However, most cable providers use set-top boxes that perform the channel selection function for you. Many of these boxes have HDMI outputs that can be used with monitors that have these input capabilities. Otherwise, you need separate audio and video connectivity from the cable box to the set, either in the form of composite video plus audio cables, or a DVI cable with audio cables. Again, this is dependent upon what the cable box and monitor support.

It's an LCD so the problem is most likely the back-light inverter board. Take a flashlight and shine it directly into the screen from the front. Can you see the image on the screen now? If the image is there but you can't see it without the flashlight than the inverter board needs to be replaced. This is a VERY common problem. Good Luck and let me know what happens, His Dudeness

You did not explainhaow you connected all your equipment together.Connect your PC and PS3 into the 5 port switch.Connect your DSL modem into the 5 port switch, if there is a WAN/internet port on the 5 port switch then connect the DSL model into this port.You may need to power off the 5 port switch wait a 1 min and power up the 5 port switch again so it can setup an IP address table for the connected ports.If this still does not work the replace the 5 port switch with a normal 5 port hub.
