I have a robotoolz laser level that I cant get to turn on. I have replaced the batteries, but the laser wont turn on and it wont swivel either. Any suggestions?
If you've replaced the batteries in your Robotoolz laser level but it still won't turn on and the swivel mechanism isn't functioning, there could be a few potential issues causing the problem. Here are some suggestions to troubleshoot the issue:
1. **Battery Polarity:** Double-check that you've inserted the batteries with the correct polarity (+ and -) as indicated on the device. Sometimes, incorrect battery placement can prevent the device from turning on.
2. **Battery Contacts:** Ensure that the battery contacts are clean and free from corrosion. Use a clean cloth or a cotton swab to clean the contacts in the battery compartment.
3. **Battery Compartment Door:** Make sure the battery compartment door is securely closed and latched. Some devices have safety switches that prevent operation when the door is not properly closed.
4. **Reset:** Some laser levels have a reset button or procedure. Check the user manual for your specific model to see if there's a reset function you can try.
5. **Calibration:** Some laser levels require calibration before they can operate. Refer to the user manual to see if your laser level requires calibration and follow the provided instructions.
6. **Electrical Issues:** If the laser level was exposed to moisture or extreme conditions, it's possible that internal electrical components might have been damaged. In such cases, professional repair might be necessary.
7. **Mechanical Issues:** If the swivel mechanism isn't functioning, it could indicate a mechanical issue. Check for any obstructions or debris that might be preventing the swivel movement.
8. **Professional Inspection:** If you've tried the above steps and the laser level still won't turn on or function properly, it might be best to seek professional assistance. There could be internal components that need repair or replacement.
9. **Manufacturer Support:** Contact the manufacturer's customer support for guidance. They might be able to provide specific troubleshooting steps or recommend a repair service.
Keep in mind that laser levels are precision instruments, and improper handling or disassembly could lead to further damage. If you're not comfortable troubleshooting or repairing the laser level yourself, it's best to seek professional help to avoid causing more harm to the device.

RoboToolz RT-A7200-1 remote has a broken battery 9 volt terminal. Where can I send it for repair?
Normal repair of a 9-volt terminal is to salvage the top of a dead 9-volt battery. Do not use a good 9-volt as they are prone to dangerous expansion if shorted. Take the salvaged battery top and add short red and black leads with a soldering gun/pencil. Use rosin core solder only, not acid core or solid. Replace the damaged terminal using above by connecting the short leads to the original terminals or circuit board traces.

I own a RT-3620-2. The liquid in one of the leveling windows has leeked out. Can I get this repaired?
Contact a laser service center. I doubt anyone will be willing to work on it. It would be a lot of research for a 2.00 part. Usually you will be unable to find parts for big box store lasers. A laser dealer may have a broken one laying around that he can pull a used part from. Just a a precaution I'd recommend never purchasing a laser from a retail store such a sears or home depot. If possible go with a Leica Geo-systems unit. Topcon, spectra physics, and trimble are also good lasers that have all parts readily available. In the service industry we call cst, bosch, robotoolz, "throw away lasers" because if anything at all goes wrong you throw it away. If i recall properly I have searched for parts for Robotoolz and contacted the manufacturer in the past. I was told that they are not supported and parts are not available. Check around and see if you can find a service center with a used part. Google search (Leica Geosystems, Topcon, Trimble Laser dealer).

Laser level problem
I had the same issue. The laser would only turn on intermittently and mostly not turn on at all. Since the green led would come on for 2 seconds when you first turn the rotary laser unit on (as per the user manual) I decided that the problem was probably with the remote. I took it apart (4 screws) and cleaned the corrosion off of the battery contacts on the slider switch and the two plates that the switch sliders make contact with. I also bent the two thin slider contacts so that they would contact the corresponding plates on the circuit board with a little more pressure. Put it back together and that seemed to fix it.

Red light wont stop flashing.
Recharge it. Is this in the house without any laser to activate the light/If so - read the instruction again or seek a service center.
The laser will not light
First, be sure to clean the battery connection points with an electrical contact cleaner and be sure that the batteries are new, not just different. If that does not work, try placing the instrument in a freezer for at least 30 minutes. This worked with my 5 point Stanley Fat Max. The freezer will cause some condensation to form on the inside of the instrument, but why it makes the diode work is a mystery, at least to me.

Robotoolz RT-7201 stopped working. Lazer
Try putting it in a freezer for at least 45 minutes. For some reason the diode seems to respond to the condensate, and it keeps working even after it thaws. This worked for two laser diodes on my 5 point Stanley Fat Max after trying everything else.

RF Remote for RT-7690-2 Unit
I've never come across that with mine, but I have a couple thoughts that you might try ........
First, check and make sure there are no buttons stuck down. And the second thing is take the battery out for a minute or so and see if it clears it. In fact, you might also want to check the battery voltage. I suppose there's a chance that low voltage could do that??
Hope one of those helps!
Ed
My Robotoolz : RT-7210-1 was
Improper storage (I've done it too), usually means that the batteries have become too hot - and
therefore weak. The first thing I'd try is changing the batteries.
The 635nm laser operates on (4) AA batteries, and the rotary uses (1) 9V battery.
The online reviews for this a horrifically bad - see:
