Need a lid
After being asked to call a number of different phone numbers, I was finally able to order a lid for this from the company that manufacturers this slow cooker for Sears.
1-800-361-4639
$25.90, shipped to the US (the company is located in Canada) for the lid.
The part # is: 1003kj.
Note that the Sears model number for the slow cooker is KKC275.
The Sears item # is 68332 (even though the plate on the cooker and manual both say that the MODEL number is 68332).
Hope this helps,
Brian
Replacement lid for
Check your local thrift stores, i.e., Goodwill for a crockpot that is the same or similar. It will be very cheap.
Need replacement rubber feet for my 2 qt Rival Crock Pot
Check your local thrift stores, i.e., Goodwill for a crockpot that is the same or similar and get the feet. It will be very cheap. Also, Home Depot and Lowe's carry very similar products for less than $4. Hope this is helpful.
I have broken the glass
You can of course just use any lid from a casserole dish that will fit! Even one from a saucepan! No need to spend good mony on one, as you may then find this 30 odd year old item may conk out! (Ours is still going strong, too!! lol)
Heating just stopped
Need to get into it, but I suspect that a limit switch went bad. But you need a volt meter so you can check the resistance of the parts, and check to see if it is passing power to the heating elements.
