Hello, it does work. It seems to be the problems with a lot of these Russian manufactured goggles, monoculars, binoculars and scopes. Sorry, almost impossible to get them repaired.

Yes, Rigel Ops is a Russian company. It manufactured NV devises. How old is the binoculars? Has it been droped or abused? If it has been droped a few time, then the image tubes can't take that type of abuse. The image tubes go bad. I don't have my shop up and working. Maybe in the future I can start repairing these NV devises. GB...stewbison

Hello, it sound like the image tube is having some problems. These monoculars/binoculars can't take to much slamning, drop or two, abuse, there real touchy. You can unscrew the lens and take a little look see. Look for some brown/black glazing on both end of the tube, it will kinda streaky, not real heavy in color. Also, check the 18mm/25mm white plate at the front of the binocular on that tube. If there is some discoloration or even small cracks in this coated thin film. If has any sign as mentioned above---new tube of if you can find a used one. If the image intensifier tube is painted green it Russian.

Hello, check the battery compartment for corrsion. Clean it up really well. Also, since it has been stored for a couple of years. Has it been miss treaded in handling in storage, bang around, anything like droping while it was in a storage box, etc... I hope this will help you, stewbison

Binko, The IR luminator is on a different circuit. There could be a number of problem with your monocular. This NV devise is manufactured in Russia and sold Rigel Optics name. If I have my shop set up you could send to me, but I am retired and sold all of my electronic testing equipment.
About all I can reccomend is call Rigel Optics and ask them what it would cost fix you monocular.
If the cost is to prohibtive, buy you a new one. There are a few companies in the US that manufacture all of their components. stewbison

The unit will have to be serviced. It sounds like the infrared illuminator is bad, and will have to be serviced. Refer to the literature that came with the unit.

U have a failure n the light amplifier circuit, there is nothing you can do about this other than have the unit sent out for repair, they don't sell the repair manuals or the parts to anyone but the authorized factory repair stations, check the user manual for a list of repair centers for the Goggles.

It sounds like an internal problem which you, yourself may not be able to repair.

its just 1-2-3-4- with the port bank being 2-4 starting at the top and the starboard side being 1-3. They're all the same be it V-4 or V-6. 6=123456 60* and 90* are the same

If the batteries are worn out or have not be put in properly. You may have to resync your devices the the USB receiver.
