These scanners will collect alot of paper dust. You need to remove the ADF cover and using compress air and or a vaccum blow out the jam/original photosensor's, I believe there are 4 sensors. Power OFF then ON and try it..

try scanning book mode (lift the feeder and use a single sheet) if it is ok clean the small glass on the left side.
or there may be some dust on the mirrors.

Please clean the glass. The lines are because of dirt on the glass. Pls dont use solvents.

This scanner can be controlled by PixEdit so you may scan any amount of sheets. Even easy continue scanning to one document when not enough space in the ADF for the hold stack

The bulb has nothing to do with the paper feeder.
Open the door and ther has three or to tires or rubbers so clean them with glass cleaner or 98% alcohol if after that dose not feed again you should replace the feed rubbers

You need an OCR (Optical Character Recognition) program such as Textbridge or Omnipage ect. The program should use your scanner to scan and then read the page(s) and save as text.

May be roolers are worn out, you need to change them.

The glass the document is dragged across has an ink mark or liquid paper mark on it.
Clean thin document glass under the feeder.

The parts manual is 4mb big .With the service manual it comes to 16 mb.send me a e-mail and i'll send the manual as a attachment.

check the datacable and first of all try loosing static charge and restart the system and now reinstall the required drivers

go to www.ricoh-usa.com/downloads/driver choose your machine the operating system.. That will get you the right driver Good Luck

Increasing the default resolution setting, would slow the scanner down, and also increase file sizes dramatically

Clean the rollers properly with IPA (Iso Propyl Alcohol) Industrial grade. Dot use solvents.
