Hi, I am steve, lets get you some help.
Your scanner only supports TWAIN and ISIS. Whilst you can use the scanner from Windows without any problem you can only control it from an application that supports TWAIN or ISIS.
As you have already discovered your application wants to use WIA - you cannot do this automatically. You may want to check whether your application supports either a TWAIN or an ISIS interface (I would expect it to). This is a long running issue with scanner devices.
You could use the Ricoh software and any TWAIN/ISIS enabled software to import the scans then upload the captured file into the application.
Sorry it can't be simpler than that.

The Ricoh IS01 uses a SCSI 2 (50 pin) interface. It should look like the one here: . There are SCSI to USB converters but I'm not sure if you need a specific version. (Scanners require bidirectional communication with the computer so there were few interfaces that required a special connection.)

Depending on your computer's OS, there may be other issues. (Some may not be compatible with Windows Vista or Win7, for example.) Drivers for some OS versions are available here: . Search for the IS01 (no other information is needed)

I hope this helps.

Microsoft drivers and installers have changed over time. The ISO1 drivers for XP are available here: . Click on the down arrow to download the one for XP and then double click on the exe file.

I hope this helps.

(NT or Win2K drivers can work under XP at times; Win95 drivers are less likely to work even in the compatibility mode.)

These are excellent and well built products with a very long high volume capability and unless in a very dirty environment should not need cleaning of internal optics or assemblies until after about 3 years or more. However the document feeder can get dirty, and the rollers and guides should be cleaned with a mild solution of soapy water, (a few drops of Palmolive Liquid Dish Soap are best); use a good glass cleaner on the scan class and also on the narrow glass view area used for the auto feeding copies. If it does not jam multiple stacks of copies up to about 40 pages of 20 pound bond, it is running just fine. Let me know if you have any further details needed.

Good Luck!

According to the manual, the part number for the ADF Document Assembly is VRC70001, but you may want to verify this with Ricoh before ordering, because the assembly is not shown in the parts diagram, only listed in the chart.

Hope that helps.

You were able to scan okay before? If you can print but not scan, generally it's a firewall or permission problem. You could try creating an exception for the Ricoh in your firewall software.

The folder that you scan to hasn't moved, has it? Is the path still exactly the same? Try turning off your firewall and/or anti-virus software and see if you can scan then.
