Get a new belt. If that doesn't take care of it, replace the rubber motor mount and metal pivot. Your vacuum is probably close to 20 years old and has some worn parts.
Install foot pedal release on riccar 8800 series
It's not hard to do but is almost impossible to explain how to do it. If you can look at one already installed on the shaft holding the pedal you can see how it's done. Visit your local Riccar dealer.
Broken belt
Remove the bottom plate to gain access to the belt.
Replacing off switch
Remove the screw holding the handle to the body of the vacuum. Remove the screws to separate the parts of the handle to gain access to the switch.
Coin in motor riccar vacuum
It's impossible to get a coin the motor of most Riccar models. Take it to your dealer to see if it's possible with your model.
Clutch on a riccar 8955 not turning
The clutch has to be adjusted occasionally and the rubber pad holder sometimes wears out after 5 or 10 years of use. If you can't figure out why it's not working properly take it to your dealer.
The switch will not turn the vaccum off or on
The switch is activated by the lever you push in the handle. Start by tightening the screw holding the handle in. If that doesn't solve it remove the bag door and the screws holding the cover above the bag to gain access to the switch compartment. If you can't figure it out in there take it to your Riccar dealer
WHERE IS RESET BUTTON
On the back down by the bottom left side. it's a little white button by the tag that says "reset button"
Reset button won't push in
The button will not push in unless it has been tripped. Your model is well over 10 years old, it could be the power cord, the switch or a loose wire somewhere.
Need to clear blower in 8850 model vacuum
Unless you have removed the plastic guard under the motor filter it is impossible for the toy to have lodged in the fan. The toy would have to go through the bag, through the motor filter and through the guard before it could reach the fan.
Vacuumed a paper clip up in my Riccar vacum cleaner
It depends on which model and where the clip went. On most models it will just suck the clip right into the bag causing no harm to the vacuum. If you can't find it and don't hear any funny noises it probably will not cause any harm. You can have it checked out by your Riccar dealer to be sure.
