How do you get to and replace fuse in power cord for rand McNally 710 gps
Deborah, most of the time the fuse is in the cigarette lighter. The end unscrews. However, if that fuse blew, you may have wiring that has shorted. Much more common to blow you lighter fuse, in the car. Happens with plugging in and turning the "lighter" body, and shorting the lighter socket.
I can't find my update, where do I go?
I use a TOM TOM GPS, and they have an online Homepage that you can download any updates. I would imagine yours is the same. Look up the Rand TND520 homepage on the internet and look for a PC setup program. With the Tom Tom, I have to connect it to the PC with a USB cable and it automatically downloads and updates itself.
How to open Rand McNally gps?
Did you ever get your 710 open? I am on my second one, and the USB connector is starting to cause issues again. I think this is definately the achilles heel of this unit. I am considering adding a different power connector and changing the adapters so I don't have to use the USB port when it is in the truck.
