The D4 model Rainbow has a Thermal Cut Off This has to be manually replaced. It is attached to the Field 120v D4 If this has blown, then most likely something is causing. The Armature Tall 120v D4 could be going bad. You can also speak with our technical support team Contact Us RainVac

Need more info. By not working do you mean the motor is not running, the beater bar is not turning or is the red light in the rainbow unit itself.

Question edited for clarity. If you can get the trigger unit apart, you will almost certainly find a spring that pushes the trigger back and an O-Ring that is sticking. Both parts can be found in Home Depot or similar. Clean and reassemble with some Vaseline for lubrication. Janice and Momodo. Use a wrench or pliers to remove the nut. Before you replace it, put Vaseline on the threads. It will be much easier to remove next time.

Hi, there is no reset button on a Rainbow vacuum. There is a safety switch on all E series and E2 series Rainbow vacuums, that keep it from running without the water basin on it.

One other thing, water sucking through your vacuum should not hurt it. It is not good though, but will not make it not run.

Take the hose and put it on the back were your machine blows than put the sprayer or foamer on and it will spray

It needs to have a rubber gasket like on your washer hose on it. Should solve problem

The bearings are probably worn out.

There probably is a locked up bearing. It is not a good idea to try to keep trying to run the unit. It will only cause further damage.

It may be the pivot arm. That is the neck on the power head that the wands connect into. The way to check that is by putting the handle directly into the neck and with it running, move handle back and forth forward and backwards to see if it has a short in the hose part of neck
