If the transformer is applying voltage to the ac connectors of the bridge but there is no voltage on the dc connectors, then the diodes are open.

Check the fuse first. Most have one where the power cable goes into the unit, a little plastic cover, you pry it out. Some of them even have a replacement in there. If not, or it blows again, you have to get inside, and maybe you got a blown supply or regualtors.... Take it to a Tech. Peace-

What device are you wanting to control? If it is infrared device (tv, DVD player, etc.) That won't work as the iPhone does not have an infrared emitter. You can control a wifi enabled device (roku - but not roku stick) as long as you are on the same network.

Yes, they are called a BNC antenna. Type that into your search engine and you will find many suppliers online. Very common thing to replace.
