What do you have plugged into it? Or is it the speaker alone?

Region code 1 is for the USA. The player must be either region 1 or a multi region player to play such DVD's. Is it possible that the DVD's from Fox are from anther region placed in region one cases? It depends also where you got the DVD's from, there are a lot of counterfeit ones out there. Which to be honest will not work at all.

Is it the speaker system or the device that is driving them that is the issue. Have you checked the speakers on another device or the device you are currently using to drive them with another pair of speakers? Please repost with a clarification of this point
