My monitor screen is coming on and off

Check the cable connections to make sure they are not loose. Do you see the image still on the screen when the light goes off? You might have a bad backlight inverter which would cause the light to flicker.

My proview pl 926wbi comes on with a black screen

Check that the cable is firmly connected and plugged into the right connection on the computer. Make sure that the monitor is reading from the right input, (i.e. if it's a blue connection it should be set to VGA/Analog, if white then it should be DVI/Digital) or at least set to Automatic.

This can be configured on the monitor by pressing its' Menu button.

It can be the power supply, backlights inverter, lamp assemblies.
If you are going to DIY and already try the monitor with another PC, and have proper tools and know safety precaution then please read on: Most common failures in the LCD monitors are bad capacitors (bulging top/seal or leaking) in the power supply (they should be replaced in a set), blown fuses; poor solder joints, failed inverter circuits (blown fuse, shorted transistors, shorted/open transformers), bad lamps (poor solder connections or worn out lamps). You will need to open it up and inspect the inside, see example of failed monitors to get some ideas what to look for: http://s807.photobucket.com/albums/yy352/budm/ Post back what you see inside so we can guide you further and it will help out other people in the future also.

Screen keeps going to all white and you have to

Hit the Windows Key (or ctrl-escape). Now the cause of the problem is revealed. Right click on the tab on the bottom of the screen that refers to the IE blank page, select minimum or close. I don't know why it does that. I would use Chrome or FireFox, & delete Internet Explorer.

PL913s.. the monitor powers on the screen pops on

The buzzing sound can be from high voltage arcing sound form the connections at the ends of the lamps assemblies, see BAD BACKLIGHT/LAMP albums.
You you shoud check and see if the inverter circuits have 16~18vdc feeding it when it goes black screen. Something likel this you will need test lamps for testing the inverter circuits.
All cpas have completely falt tops, bad caps can look normal but they can have high ESR.
Post pictures of the board will help.

Does not have a lead wire.

Hi,
YOU can easily get it from any computer store and please contact the concerned person from whom you bought that monitor for clarification regarding the non availability of LEAD WIRE and also see teh box in which monitor was there , accessories present at the time of purchase would also be given.
try that you get it for free from the person or the organization from where you bought that monitor, otherwise you will have to purchase a new lead for your monitor

Did you inspect the caps for domed tops in the power supply/inverter board yet? Worst case will be the lamps assembly.

How do you connect the XBOX audio line out to the monitor audio input? If the xbox HDMI output is set to send the digital audio through the HDMI cable, you will not get the sound since you are using HDMI to DVI because the DVI is not made to accept the digital audio. You will need to to use the XBOX analog audio output instead feeding the audio cable with mini stereo phone plugs, please read XBOX user manual.

Check whether the cable from the system to the screen is connected properly and there is not loose contact. Also take the system into BIOS and check whether the same issue is happening in the BIOS screen.Try a factory reset on the screen by pressing the OSD button on the screen.
Switchoff the screen and disconnect all teh cables including the powe cable and press and hold the power button for around 40 sec and now reconnect the cables and try to power up the screen
