hi Taffie, that related to the freewheel lever or brake make sure the at the lever is not bent and make sure connection to the brake are okay , there is a micro-switch located on the brake make sure that's releasing when you move the lever... it like a rounded plastic point , that is part of the switch and sometimes they stick so acting like it 's in freewheel when in fact it isn't ... Most pride chargers show up the green light when batteries r charged...when charging u should have a red power led & an orange led ...hope this helps

Turn on the PWC Push the joystick forward and hold for 2 seconds or until you hear a chirp. Push the joystick backward and hold for 2 seconds or until you hear a chirp. Release and there should be a long beep tone, signaling that it is unlocked. Since there are different joystick controllers on these chairs and I don't know exactly which one you have this is my best guess.

hi Hal, that is a issue around based the brake or connectors to the brake or the micro-switch that is moved when you move the drive , freewheel lever.. ... firstly make sure the scooter is in drive mode and not free-wheel mode ., where the axle comes apart you will see a number of connectors , make sure they are a good fit ... Candy Apple paint is extremely hard to patch repair. It has a base coat of silver or gold and then multi coats of the candy apple over the top. You can get a paint that is meant to be a touch up for candy apple but you never end up with the same shade of color. Most of the time it will come out dark blood red anywhere that it over laps the old paint. I would contact Pride as they may use a paint that does not require a base coat.

If the brake release lever is not working by this I mean the lever will not move the release position, this could be a case of the brake mechanism has seized up due to water or that sand and grit has got in the brake jamming it. Try a spray of WD40 on the bake lever mechanism and work the lever back and forth. Failing that brake will need to be replaced.

The fix for this fault is to replace the chip in the VSI controller. This happens when you consistently drive the power chair with weak or low voltage batteries.

If the batteries were discharged completely, the battery charger isn't strong enough to start the charging process. Take the batteries out and charge each one separately with an automotive type battery charger that is NOT automatic. This may take a day to recover this way. When the battery shows over 10 volts with a dc voltmeter you can re install them in the chair to complete the charge with the 24 volt charger. If the batteries have any amount of age past 2 years, it's time for new batteries.

New batteries take a while to get charged. If not charge, then something is wrong with the charger.

there is sometimes a cable that u can adjust at the motor break.

hi , two problems can cause this,

1. batteries are weak, is the charger ok ? just because it 's green does not mean the charger is ok, can you validate the charge, try some other batteries ?,

2. Brake be activated or on at all times,
The best way to prove this is to remove the brake mech from the side of the motor completey now try the scooter, if the problem goes away then check the resistance of the brake, is it open or shorted ?
If you feel the brake, batteries and charger are working ok then the controller must be activating the brake and this is the fault but please double check the voltage on the brake leads.

Check you're freewheel lever if its in freewheel u have to take the key out engage lever & put key back in. Also if u have left the key on for more than twenty minutes the circuit will shut down only the light will work. take key out for 5 minutes then put it back it should work unless it's another problem good luck

hi have u checked the reset button if this has tripped the scooter wont go give it a push its below the seat....also if u leave the key on for more than 20 minutes the circuit will shut down to fix this remove key then replace key & turn it on ..good luck

hi, okay that a system controller fault however it can also be a loose connection around the controller area, removing the connectors that go into the controller has worked for me, if not it's normally a resistor network inside the controller.
