Batteries are connected in series on your PW9120-1000. Connect the battery farthest from the end that faces the front display of the UPS with the incoming red wire to the red terminal on that battery. Connect the short cable from the black terminal on on that battery to the red terminal on the next battery (these batteries will face each other, but one set of terminals will be at the top and the other set will be at the bottom). Connect the longer wire from the black terminal of the second battery to the red terminal of the last battery (which will face opposite the 2nd battery). The black terminal on the last battery will connect to the thick black wiring coming in from the rear of the battery case.

Fault: Low Ouput Voltage

Cause: Surge Taken by load / Short Circuit on load / Fault in inverter

Remedy: Remove load and restart UPS / Try a different load / Repair or swap out

If you need spares or price for repair contact Eaton Power Quality Ltd - the new name for Powerware - 01753 608700

You should call your local service rep.

Any standard UPS will fail on Bypass, as the system is designed that way.

Some systems when running will revert to inverter from Bypass but not many.

They usually have an "Economy Mode" setting.

Some UPS systems require a soft or hard reset after any service Involving loss of all power to the electronics, this may be the problem, but it is more likely there is an inverter fault.

Hope this helps, thanks for using FixYa

It's unlikely that you will be able to get a new one. The 9330 was discontinued many years ago though Eaton continues to service these models and provide replacement parts/batteries. I suggest that you call 800-356-5794 to see if Eaton has a partner that has any complete systems still in stock or in service inventory. The new UPS units are the 9355 and the 9390: www.eaton.com/9355 and www.eaton.com/9390 These new units are more compact, are more energy efficient and incorporate more advanced technology for monitoring and communication.

The Prestige 1250EXT PS2E has a white or red(depending on how old it is) 4 hole rectangular socket on the back bottom left of the UPS when it is lying flat on the bench. The left end terminal is positive and the right end terminal is negative. This female socket(connector) is where the male battery connector from a Prestige battery pack will fit. It can only be connected one way. The DC battery bus is 60 volts nominal.
