Poulan Garden - Recent Questions, Troubleshooting & Support

Did you put the priming bulb in the right way around?
Did you check it pumps fuel?
Did you turn out the idle jet screw 1 1/2 turns?
Is the plug the right gap?
Air filter clean and not blocked?
Check compression?

An engine only needs fuel and air in the right mix, a spark, and compression.

Should be a screw next to the bar. you can tighten it and it will tighten the chain. Keep in mind that the 2 bolts holding the bar and cover in place have to be loose to do this.

You use a 5/8" or 13/16" spark plug socket for removal and installation. It takes a Champion RN9YC.Check socket on the new spark plug for size.

Well you certainly have tried a great deal of things, your compression is fairly low, however I would expect it to fire all be it not run too well, initially I would suspect a couple of things, a massive air leak i.e. crankshaft seal leaking or has fallen out, or the flywheel key in the flywheel has sheared knocking the ignition timing way out.
