Pny sdhc card protected

Mini SD cards, or MicroSD cards, are used in digital cameras and portable media players to house digital media files. MicroSD cards can house anything from 2GB to 32GB of information. A write-protection feature gives the owner the ability to lock the MicroSD card to keep their files secure. If you have a MicroSD card that is write-protected, you can un-write-protect it with a flip of a switch. Insert your MicroSD card into the adapter that came with it. Put the data side of the MicroSD card into the data side of the adapter. Look for the write-protection switch on the left side of the SD adapter. Flip the switch to the side that reads "Off." Remove the MicroSD card from the adapter and replace it in the device you were using it with. or you might Feel along the lower right and left sides of the Micro SD card to find out if it has a built in write protection switch. Move the switch over to the "On" position to turn on the write protection feature. Check the front ports on your computer and see if it already has a built in card reading unit. Purchase an external card reader that plugs into a USB port if your computer does not already have an internal card reader (see below). http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=ENE&DEPA=0&Order=BESTMATCH&Description=card+reader&x=0&y=0 Plug the card reader into any open USB port on the computer. Power on the computer and let the operating system finish loading. Insert the card into the Micro SD slot on the card reader. Wait for a new window to appear that will ask what action you want to take with the Micro SD card. Click on the link that says "Open a folder to view files." Right-click on a file if there is just one specific file you want to enable write protection for. Click on the "Properties" link from the menu that will pop up. Navigate to the "General" tab. Click on the box marked as "Read Only" and then close the Properties window. Close the window and then double-click on the "My Computer" icon on your desktop if you want to enable write protection for every file on the Micro SD card. Right-click on the name of your Micro SD card in the list of computer drives. Click on "OK" and then close the window. Click on "Properties" and then navigate to the "Security" tab. Scroll down to the heading labeled as "Permissions." Click on "Deny" under the "Write" section.

I hve PNY 4 gb abd have stored lot of pictures but i could not

I had the same problem once upon a time with a PNY CF card about 4years ago after I photographed an entire football game for an article Iwas doing. Everything I did kept telling me that the card was corruptedand I never could retrieve the photos. Someone told me to use a better card so I have never used a PNY cardagain and consequently have never had the problem again. Stay with SanDisk Extreme or whatever high end card you can find and you'll be much happier.

I know this is the "Close-the-barn-door" approach to not losing thehorses after they have already escaped but I have a possible solutionto rescuing your photos trapped on the card if nothing else works. Lookfor a card retrieval program on the internet. There are free ones andthere are pay ones. Free is worth nothing and the others are worth morebut start with free if you can find one. The one I used was atcardrecovery.com (which wasn't free) and supposedly can even pull photosfrom damaged cards as well. I accidentally formatted a card beforegetting the photos off and the program retrieved all of those plus manyothers that were previuosly on it, all 39,000 of them, and it was onlya 4 GB card on a 8 MB camera! I think it was around $60 for the pay version but it justdepends on how valuable your photos are to you on that card. If yourinterested here's the link:

http://www.cardrecovery.com/?rid=google&kid=cr0102

There is a free trial download offered but I don't know how many photos you have on the card so it may not get them all off.

PNY Card SD showing I/O eror. Can I recover

You should try some photo recovery software to rescue the files on your SD card, here are some you may rely on.
Photo Recovery Software (for Windows)
Mac Photo Recovery Software (for Mac OS X)

Be careful: Before your pictures are recovered, do not attempt to save more files to the card in case the original files(your pictures) are overwritten.

Somehow our pictures got deleted! Is there anyway

Take no more pics until you've recovered your photos, take the card out of the camera. This is to reduce the chance of you overwriting some of your "lost" photos. There are many good freeware photo recovery software options that may help you recover your photos. This article reviews and outlines several of the better ones:

Password unknown

Place the micro SD card into your card reader on your computer. Right-click your "Start" button and then "Explore". Find the micro SD card, it will be listed as a removable drive. Click on the micro SD card and the files will show on the right-hand side. Find the file that says " MMCSTORE" and then select "Copy." Right-click on your desktop and then click "Paste." This will move the MMCSTORE file to the desktop so that you can get access to edit it. Right-click on the MMCSTORE and then click on "Open With." Open the file with Notepad. Read the text to find the password. It will be in plain text. Remove the SD card from the computer and place it into the device for which it is used as storage. Turn on the device. When it prompts you for the password, enter it. http://reviewunit.com/how-to-recover-lost-password-of-microsd-memory-cards/

ACCIDENTY TRASHED 2 EXTREMELY IMPORTANT

When you deleted files and folders on your flash drive, they don't goes to trash. Deleting won't make them erase permanently. Those deleted files and folders are still stored on your flash drive, they're just invisible or inaccessible. You can recover deleted files from flash drive with flash drive recovery software. I had succeed with Tenorshare Data Recovery.Anyway, you can download it and scan your flash drive for free to preview whether you can recover your files.
