Can I use just the upstream hookup to connect an external monitor to my laptop? Also need to replace power cord. was not included Not the output needed Pwr rating says 12v dc 5.5a. That's all.

I use either VGA or HDMI connectors to connect to an external monitor. I'm not sure what you're asking on the "power cord". Are you asking about the charging "brick" and such? Or?

"Input not supported" even though it appears to be displaying correctly.

You will need to go to advanced settings under resolution options and set the display to 60hz refresh rate then go back to resolution and set your native, the problem is its probably trying to default to 75hz and is causing an issue

I Bought two planar dome C3I , i dont have graphic card.

Only the Planar Dome DX2 card..... no other. Planar did this on purpose to sell those cards at 2k each. Now very reasonably priced on eBay, but they'll only work on XP, not W7.

Driver planar dome C3i

For your Plana Dome C3i you can get the drivers and CXtra calibration software under the cx section at ndssi.com. You must use a DX2 card (eBay) and XP. No go on W7 for those.

Win 7 driver

Not possible.... same as with the C5i I posted on. By the way, you don't need a dual link cable to run either the C3i or the C5i with the DX2 card..... single link DVI only is fine.

Monitor turns goes black and comes back on every 10 secs planar PX2210MW

The Planar PX2210MW is notorious for bad electrolytic capacitors. Specifically capacitor C804 on the power supply board. . This is a 1000uF 25volt capacitor. That capacitor was usually made by Hermei and it was purple. Normally, the top of a capacitor will be flat. When it fails, it will be curved upward and there may be some brown material leaking out. If the monitor still will not work after replacing C804, the problem could be Q805 or Q806. These are located on the under side of the board. They are small black surface mounted chips. There are 8 pins on these chips. I have seen both AO4620 and APM4548A part numbers used. These chips contain a pair of MOSFET transistors. One transistor is n-channel and the other is p-channel. Look for a short in one of the transistors. I have repaired several of these monitors. C804 is always bad. How ever, in three cases, Q805 or Q806 was also bad 12c1ec2c-5a6d-4352-af31-150a0a92514c.jpg c9a53aae-2999-45c7-ad78-44ba51ac5a6c.jpg 795d93fe-9678-46c2-820a-767bea9babb0.jpg
