You probably will need to call support for your car. You will need the VIN number for the car.
if it is not the factory radio, call pioneer.

I had this same problem today on my pd-f1007
unplugged it
took off the cover screws ..2 on each side and 3 in back on top

in the middle of the unit there is a white arm with a tab on both sides

it lifts the cd into the middle to be played

the white tab had come out of the slot it was suppossed to be in on the black cd arm

just carefully ease the tab back into the slot and its like new

I have never heard of a display for an amp error on a car stereo, and I worked for Pioneer. Barring that, you can try to reset it(shown maybe in your owner's manual). If you are interested in a repair, please contact me on my website at Thank you.

To set the clock, the receiver has to be off. Press and hold the Source button (that's the top of the left-most button) until the receiver turns off. Then press and hold the Multi-Control (the large round dial) until Clock Set is displayed on the LCD screen. Press the Multi-Control. Turn the Multi-Control until the first segment of the time shows the appropriate digit. Press the Multi-Control again to select the next segment and turn the Multi-Control again to set that digit. Repeat the press and turn of the Multi-Control until all segments have the correct digits for the current time. Instead of turning the Multi-Control, you can also pushing it up or down. Press the Back button (to the upper left of the Multi-Control) to return to the previous screen (initial settings).

This is in the manual for the DEH-P4000UB. The manual is on the product page, . Click on the manuals tab if needed. The current link to the manual is . See page 27 for these directions. See page 9 for a picture of the buttons on the receiver.

I hope this helps.

If the unit has been installed correctly the display lighting should vary as instrument panel lighting is varied.
