1. Switch radio ON -> press RADIO ON/OFF 2. Press TUNNING + button on the left side and hold it (frequency counts up on the display) 3. Press ALARM RESET/SLEEP (and release both buttons) AM should be switched to FM now. Steps 2 and 3 can be repeated to swith between AM and FM.

What is the format of the drive? The Philips HTS6510 can only read USB drives that are formatted as FAT16 or FAT32. It can't read files from an NTFS drive. NTFS is the "new file system" for Windows but dates to Windows NT/Windows 2K or so. This is the default format for larger capacity USB drives since more files can be added per folder. See page 51 of the manual for the Philips HTS6510 for the file format specifications for USB drives. If the file format is FAT16 or FAT32, try a different USB drive and check the current drive in another device. The USB drive may be damaged or may have lost the data it needs to find the files. All flash memory can fail with no warning. Replace a faulty drive. Alternatively, the USB port on the HTS6510 could be damaged. This can happen if too much current flows through the port. If the port is damaged, I don't recommend having the unit repaired unless it is under warranty (1 year). Copy your files to a CD and listen to the music or view the images from that media. Not all rechargeable batteries will work instead of original batteries. The right battery should have metal body and not, as some batteries, isolated bottom part (-). Such batteries (which will not work) have a isolation ring around bottom connector. Philips has some kind of electronic check if bottom part is connected (integrated with) sides of the battery. So sides and the bottom of the right battery should be a sort of a can. Check the original battery to understand better what I am trying to explain.

Downloading Music to MP3 Player

1...You must download and install Windows Media Player 11 on your computer.
NOTE...Some older MP3 players will not work with Windows Media Player 11 or Windows 7 with Windows Media Player 11.
If this happens to you, then you will have to uninstall Windows Media Player 11 and install Windows Media Player 10.
2...After you have downloaded and installed Media Player on your computer.
3...Open Media Player on your computer.
4...Install all your music into Media Player that you want to install on your MP3 player.
5...Plug in your MP3 player to the computer using your Data/Sync cord, be sure that Windows Media Player is on.
6...Media player should recognize the MP3 player and sync with it.
7...After it is sync'ed with the computer,you can add the music you have installed into Windows Media Player to your MP3 Player.

Hi, there are two types of reset mode:

The soft rest,
And the hard reset.

soft reset by pressing the power button and volume up (+) button together. if It didn't work. you can do the hard reset.

hard reset by pressing the reset button (its a small hole next to usb connection socket) with a safety pin. It worked. Thankfully it does not delete any of the content on the device .
