No disc in tray Press Home Scroll to settings input code: 13893108520 The settings will pop up and you will see that the DVD region is now set to 0 (meaning region free). I have checked the hack on a BDP8000 (region 2)and it sets the region to 0 (the 7th. digit from the left) alright, but it does not make the player region free as a message from the disc (MGM) comes and tell that the disc is not supposed to be played in this region. The region on the player can be changed to the region by changing the "x" in 138931x8520 to the actual region you want to play.Try this out. The hack codec for blue ray are not yet published so it is not possible to make Blue Rays totally region free as of now.

Hi,

Press the Menu button ( marked OK) for one minute, or more, and a blue/red menu list should appear on screen.

Using the adjust button (immediately to the left of the OK button) by pressing the arrows at each end up or down as required you can enter the menu and select an action by scrolling.

At the end of the list of possible adjustments on the left of the screen (brightness, contrast, etc) is the Reset section.

On the righthand side of the screen is a flashing Yes No choice which automatically alternates.

The trick is to select the Reset choice on the left and while selected press the OK button when the Yes alternative on the right of the screen is flashing.

You VDU should then Reset and all will be well.

Is your DVD drive a Combo DVD ROM and CD Read/writer? If so it cannot burn DVD only reads DVDs and read and burn CDs.
If the program cannot find a DVD burner then either the burning software cannot support that model DVD burner ot the DVD burner is faulty.
To test the DVD burner, remove it and install it into another computer to test the burner to see if is faulty.

Seems to me that the DLL file has gone corrupt, I would do a reinstall repair if you have the software. If you are not tech-savvy, I would recommend taking it to a technician.

Sorry I can't be much help but just wanted to mention Phillips used to have a really good parts service that would share expertise with customers. I don't know what they are like now but I expect if they are in a good mood they could tell you the date the motherboard was produced and which models it was fitted to and any other manufacturers it was supplied to. Such information would allow you to spread your net somewhat wider. Perhaps it might be possible to have your original motherboard repaired, something that was fairly routine in the early days of personal computers...

If you have not already installed the software for the device I would suggest making sure you have the latest software installed. You can grab software and manual from the following link Make sure the device is "NOT" plugged in during the installation of the software. https://www.usa.philips.com/c-p/VOIP1511B_37/internet-telephone-adapter/support Once the software has been installed, plugged the device in and see if the computer recognises the new hardware (this an take a few seconds or a couple minutes depending on the speed of your computer) it is common to have to restart your computer for the new drivers to take effect. So don't fret if it doesn't work right away. Make sure the "phone" is plugged into the computer when you turn it back on (Not necessary after you have it working, it can then be unplugged and plugged back in as needed) Once the computer recognizes the new device, It should work as expected. If not please let us know, and we'll continue to find a solution. Thanks

If you are not sure, you can follow the instructions on Phillips official site for locating the model number https://www.usa.philips.com/content/B2C/en_US/support-home/support-software-and-drivers.html Newer operating systems such as windows 10 and up, may be able to install a generic driver, often this will allow basic usage online such as video conferencing and chat, but will not allow for taking advantage of special features (Face tracking, auto focus, zoom pan, etc. ) Please feel free to ask for further help if needed.
