Guide to threading a pfaff 1229

Hello, Sandie - You will find several images of how to thread your Pfaff Synchrotronic 1229 sewing machine in the instruction book for the machine, starting on Pages 6 - 9 (PDF images #10 - 13) of the manual (PDF format) here: http://www.pfaff.com/SiteMedia/PFAFF/Products/Machines/Support-manuals/Synchrotronic_1229-manual-EN.PDF Since it is a PDF document, you will need Adobe Acrobat Reader software (free), to download and save the document on your computer, and open and refer to it later. Note: When you save the PDF document to your computer, be sure to give the file a name you can find again easily . . . something like: Pfaff Synchrotronic 1229 Manual. Best wishes.

I have not used my Pfaff sewing maching for several months and now that I want to use it, it seems like it has siezed up. I just took off the plate and add a drop of oil into the bobbin case.

You need to lubricate all the bushing under the machine this is the problem, not the bobbin ! all the best.

I changed the bulb on my pfaff 6091 stretch and jeans. Machine works fine but there is still no light.

Test the socket with an A/C meter set to line voltage range to see if the problem is there.

Haven't used my Pfaff 1475 in almost 3 years. Now the presser foot takes abou 10 minutes to lower. is there someplace I can oil post that lowers the foot.

I would like to help you the best I could, but I think talking to a sewing machine technician at a sewing machine repair shop might be your best bet. It would probably be best to get your machine serviced since you haven't used it in three years.

On Pfaff 7550, Menu button is stuck/ has lost its play. Absence of play prevents choice of stitches on display which does show. Reverse or Needle down, etc. buttons do not function when Menu is stuck.

Hello, Victoria - I suggest you locate an authorized Pfaff sewing machine repair business near you and take the machine there for evaluation and repair. Best wishes.

Pfaff 7550 problem: during winding the bobbin the needle continues going up and down as by normal sewing. In the handwheel the knob is turned as requiered. Who has a solution or idea?

Once you open the top cover you can observe by turning the wheel manually where is the actual clutch mechanism location (by switching bobbin winding off and on). Once you see small dark element moving slightly on the inside of the wheel, drop a bit of oil on it and switch back and forth clutch by turning small knob. After few tries clutch started working perfectly.

Just purchased a pfaff 4870 everything looked fine until I started sewing and the needle shaft dropped can that be fixed it feels like it’s not secured . If it can be fixed how would I do that

-There’s a lever for the presser foot pressure, turn it to “1”.
-On that piece the lever is on to the rear, there’s also a white plastic flat head screw, turn it and that will release that side cover. (You’ll kind of still need to pry it off, it seemed a bit like I was going to break the plastic, but it comes off).
-Once it’s off and the inside part of the needle bar is exposed, turn the handwheel until the needle bar is at its top dead center position, revealing a smaller flathead screw that will be just above the light.
-Either tighten or loosen that screw to move the needle bar to correct height, which leaves exactly 11.5mm between the tip of the over-edge needle B and the top edge of the needle plate. I put an arrow on the pic I posted of where the screw I’m talking about is.
Hopefully that helps someone and makes sense.

PFAFF 1467 I WAS SEWING ON SOME VELCRO AND MY MACHINE STOPPED WORKING. It turns on and lights work but the needle and hand wheel feel jammed and won't move.

Was it velcro with adhesive? The adhesive has gummed up the needle. Raise the presser foot, loosen the needle, and see if you can remove the bobbin from the machine. Once you get the bobbin loose, then most everything else can be clipped.

Pfaff 1371 bobbin won't push to the right for winding the bobbin was just maintained thank you

Hi did you mean the machine was just maintenanced? ( that is serviced?) If so you should take it back to the service shop and get them to fix it. If it was a friend then only trial and error will maybe fix it. :-)

Pfaff tiptrionic 2040 parts where do I get them?

It depends on which parts you need. One source of some Pfaff Tiptronic 2040 parts are available here: https://www.sewingpartsonline.com/pfaff-2040-sewing-machine-parts.aspx?sort.ss_cat_sort=desc&index=22 . Compatible presser feet are probably available from even more locations. I hope this helps. Cindy Wells

Pfaff 1222E

Looks like your machine is an older mechanical. Is it possible it has seized due to old oil? Have you regularly had your machine professionally serviced?
