Honestly I have never heard of this one. Most likely you shorted the board inside the camera. Was it ever exposed to water? You may need to send in for repair. Check instruction manual and see if you can do a factory restore. If that doesnt work contact tech support.

Hello, This an automatic camera so you will have to take it to a repair center to fix it cannot be fix by self.

You might want to try cleaning the battery contacts in the camera. I usually use a q-tip and rubbing alcohol (not too much, just moisten the tip a little). After doing so, blow in to the camera a couple of times to remove any leftover q-tip fibers and/or alcohol. This happens to me all of the time - the contacts can get a little corrosion/patina on them (even new after manufacturing and storage) that is hardly visible. Good luck.

On an SDHC card, there is a micro-switch on the left hand side, which sets the card as locked or unlocked. Move this to the unlocked position. The card may also need to be formatted in the camera.

Are you sure you are not inadvertently changing a menu setting ?

In this case, what you now have is a paperweight with a lens on it. The electronics are damaged beyond economical repair.

Tony your camera is now over 30 years old. THe fact that this is all that is wrong with it is a blessing. But why are you still shooting film? There is nothing you can do on film that can not be achieved on digital.
