How do you change the shutter speeds on an pentax
You can't.
In Auto Pict mode the camera selects the best of the pre-set Scene modes for the photograph which you're about to take. It's basically a variation of fully automatic mode, so the camera selects everything for you.
Auto Pict and Auto are designed to let anyone pick up your camera and take a fully automated snapshot without needing to worry about what settings to use.
To alter the shutter speeds you need to select an appropriate mode such as shutter priority or manual.

Honestly I have never heard of this one. Most likely you shorted the board inside the camera. Was it ever exposed to water? You may need to send in for repair. Check instruction manual and see if you can do a factory restore. If that doesnt work contact tech support.
Hi, Have K200D and in
Before you do anything just make sure that the battery you use is a hot one. Then also check to see if you can reset the camera software to factory defaults - you may have to contact mfg for this. If no positive results you may have to resort to repair provided it is cost effective - may not be.

Pentax K100 problem
Might be temporary lack of communication between lens and body - try cleaning the contacts on both gently with a lint-free cloth and a very little IPA.

Pentax K20D error message Camera cant display this image. And images are wiped from memory card.
One or more of the image files are corrupted. This can happen when the camera batteries fail at an inopportune time (while a file is being saved, for instance), when the SD card is removed from the computer without being ejected, or when the files on the SD are manipulated (such as rotating it) on the computer and then returning the card to the camera.
Even though the camera may not be able to read or display these files, I have found that sometimes the computer is still able to. Before giving up on all the images, try them in a computer both via one or more card readers or directly in an SD card slot.
If all else fails, you can reuse the SD card by formatting it in the camera.

How do I use my old manual lense with a K200D?
Move the automatic/manual focus switch (on the lower right of the lens mount as you look into the lens) to manual. Focus manually by turning the focus adjustment on the lens itself - align the split image as you would with your old camera and take the picture.
(Use a handheld light meter and set the f/stop and shutter speed appropriately - the K200D doesn't have a visible meter. I would recommend bracketing your exposures -up a stop and down a stop from the 'appropriate' stop.)

Why does it take so long to show to the photo after I press the shutter button?
The picture displays after the file has finished saving - if the speed of your SD card is slow, it can take quite a while before the picture is displayed. It also takes a while (up to a minute or more) if the shutter speed is low and the picture is mostly black (taking nighttime moon shots for instance).
Try using a better quality (higher speed) SD card.
Memory card error
With the Memory card error the camera is telling you it encountered a serious problem. you could try saving all pictures on the card to the computer. If you saved all pictures, and only after you saved all pictures, you can format the memory card, and hope the problem is solved.
Do backup you pictures ad many times as possible. After you saved the pictures on the computer, make some extra backups. Now and then don't use the delete picture in the camera, but do a full format on the card.

Are you sure SR is off?
Shake Reduction worsens your image quality if shooting over 200mm focal length.
Shake Reduction also affects negatively your images if the camera is placed firmly on a support (tripod, monopod, rock, table, whatever).

Picture is not displaying on sony dsc-hx1
Talking about two camera's my guess is you made a picture with a Pentax K100D and you put it on the memory card in a Sony dsc-hx1.In the manual the Sony tells what sizes of pictures it can display. None of the 4 sizes the Pentax K100D makes, is in that list.Perhaps you don't mean this, please let me know.
