What game are you trying to host? did you already open the port on your router for others to come in and play? Ask for the port number and try to open it on your router's set up page. call your router manuv\facturer once you already have the port number/ numbers.

Since your D-Link 2640 is a modem + router it may not work the way you intend. You need just a wireless router without modem. Run a small Ethernet patch cable from your Paradyne modem into the WAN port on your router, you can plug your existing Ethernet cable into one of the other LAN ports on the router, then access the router setup using the computer connected to the Ethernet cable using a browser and putting the router's IP address into the address line of your browser. It will most likely be 192.168.0.1 or 192.168.1.1. Once you have configured the Wi-Fi router you will have your wireless network. Full instructions should come with the router. Routers are available for as little as $29.95 but expect to pay closer to $79.95 for satisfactory speed and capability.

Not exactly sure what you are saying. When you turn on your UPS it blows the main fuse? Obviously you have a short. If you just changed the batteries I would go back and check that you have the positive and negative cables are connected correctly and there is nothing pinching the cables or touching the terminals. If you didn't recently change the batteries and this might be a result of lightening, I would change the fuse and see what happens. If it continues to blow, toss it and get a new one. Could be the circuit board is bad but most likely the transformer is shorted. Unless you are a trained electronics technician you should not go any farther.

You will have to access the Web Interface of the Paradyne Router to reset it to Factory Defaults.

First, connect your PC to the Paradyne Router. Check your IP address is in the range 192.168.1.xx (xx = any number from 1-254). Open your web browser, type 192.168.1.1 then press enter. Enter the default username and password (shown below) to access the router's web interface. On the left pane, click Erase and Reboot; this will reset the router to factory default.

Default IP address is 192.168.1.1
Default Username and Password: root

The router must provide new internal IP's. Make sure it is set to DHCP. IPs are never shared.

Hi there, there are so many possibilities to your problem, however the first thing I would do is check underneath your router for the Ip address, if it is not there, then you can check your booklet that came with the router (assuming that you still have it of course)!!
Once you have this, you may then reconfigure / restore the router or alternatively (and firstly), I would check the network key and the type of encryption. The chances are that when you updated the firmware, that the key was also changed! Obviously make sure that the network key you are entering into your computer matches the one within the router for wireless applications, I hope this helps you, Chris

You can also configure it with below method.
Connect your router to computer with ethernet cable then you can access it with following default link. http://192.168.1.1 or http://192.168.0.1 or http://192.168.15.1 or http://192.168.2.1 If you are not able to access it with above ip then check your computers ip address gateway ip is your router ip try with it. Then it ask for user name and password. Type user as "admin" and password as "admin" or "password" or blank. Then you can see configuration page of router. If you are still not able to access router with above ip then you need to RESET it for that press RESET button for 10 seconds it is in back side of router then all settings defaults..Then you can access it with above method. Then click on WAN settings set it as your internet service provider settings enable DHCP Then click on wireless and enable it. . Then click on wireless->wireless security->WEP security there is code password note down it or enter new password then save setting s and restart router. then you can connect wireless with new password. It can take up to 2-5 minutes before your router starts broadcasting a wireless signal and for the xbox to be able to connect to it, turn your xbox off and the router wait a minute then turn your wireless router on, wait a further few minutes and turn your xbox on and try using the wireless connection

Best way is to go buy a CAT5 Ethernet cable and don't use the USB at all. You don't need driver to use that cable.
