Do you mean the original pedestal base for the Panasonic TH-50PX50U? The base has two vertical posts that fit into recessed areas in the TV. Then four screws (two per post) secure the TV and base together. To remove the base, place the TV screen down on a solid surface that is covered by a clean soft cloth. Remove the black M5x25 screws and slide the base away from the TV. To store the pedestal more easily, remove the 4 silver M5x18 screws that secure the posts to the base. A Philips head screwdriver is needed. Save all of these parts in case you need to put the pedestal base back on the TV.

The usual cause is leaky line output stage or transformer.
Lift the line output transistor out and see if the voltage rises. If it does, scrap the TV as it is totally obsolete.
If it doesn't, repair the power supply, if you can source the obsolete parts.
Color temperature refers to how red (warm) or blue (cool) the color palette is. This control helps you to adjust the color settings on your TV. You can change the color settings by following these steps:
- Using the TV remote, select settings and look for a menu item labelled video or picture. - Select Color Temperature. A slider should appear that allows you to slide between cool and warm colors. The colors might also be labelled red or blue. - Slide the settings away from red/warm and towards blue/cool using the remote control. You can leave the slider at the point where the color is most pleasing to you.

The power button could either be jammed or stuck on the TV or on the remote. Or the batteries are low in the TV's remote. Try unplugging your TV for a about 1 minute to see if that fixes the problem.

It is 15 years old and is old technology. It is really time for a new one, but if you want to try and clean the inside, sure, open it up and look. Keep careful records of the three screen inside, the order and the orientation. It is important. it is more likely failing. Could it be you have to add the line access code in front of the phone number? 9, 81, 82 etc. are the most common line access codes for Panasonic phone systems.

Chances are the FLASH button on your TS500 phone isn't working correctly. Can you try depressing the hookswitch for about a half-second instead of FLASH?
