I recently purchased about a dozen CF29's where there were absolutely NO scratches on the LCD. The reason WHY was because the TouchScreen had been DISABLED at the BIOS level. I can also share with you another experience I had recently. I purchased approx. 15x CF29 models and every single unit had a defective TouchScreen. When I called Panasonic Canada I was told that since the units were no longer under the three year manufacturer warranty there was nothing they could do about it but that they were aware of this defect and it was a known defect. If you can't even see the "Panasonic" message when the notebook boots up then you should contact manufacturer or notebook provider. These major problems should not be fixed by the user as the guarantee of the notebook can lapse when you open the case.

first thing you should try is pull the ac plug out of the wall and hold the on/off button for 20 seconds, then plug the tv back in..this sometimes works bc. the hardware in the tv will reset itself..give it a try..:)
