I did a hard reset

Disconnect Treo from charger, if connected.Remove the battery cover and then the battery.Press and hold the UP arrow button on the 5 way navigational key of the device.

While holding the UP arrow button, reinsert the battery. When the second screen named "Access Powered" appears, release the UP button. Then, the next screen will ask you to set the date and time. That finishes the process of Warm Reset.

Where do I find replacement

eBay is my first thought. But don't necessarily go for the cheapest. Batteries out of China are reported daily as not working. You can also try Palm.com

I have the same problem.

Hello,

its wrong to have replaced 1100AH with 1400AH. 1400AH is to high for the unit and that's what's making it very hot.

You still have a chance of putting back and good 1100AH and your unit should be back to normal.

Take care,

Tungsten E

Amazingly prone to static electricity. Because Tungsten was smart enough to make the battery a solder in (yeah right), service on them is so bad, even Tungsten won't fool with it. Can you say paperweight?

It keeps freezing up and the touch screen stops

Have you added any new apps recently? Thats the usual suspect for this. If you can remember which one try taking it out and see if it behaves then.

It can be also from something as simple as running out of ram or space. Some apps don't handle this well and you get lockups or temp freezes. And sometimes this results in corrupted files which cause it to happen or other problems. Delete anything you don;t use anymore and that will help. Doing a hard reset and then restoring your files usually fixes anything else.

It is rarely hardware related. You would see a lot of slow operation, and probably it would run warm or hot. Usually if its hardware they just stop.

I did a hard reset

Hello.

I've experienced this many times with my E2.

What I would suggest is to disconnect and reconnect the wires from the battery.

Here is a link to replace the battery. Just disconnecting and reconnecting is all you need (Follow steps 1 - 5, 9 and 10 and you won't need the glue).

My Palm Tungsten E2 got

Hello,

the cost of repairs will determine whether or not you should replace it.

Remove the battery of the and keep the Palm Tungsten E2 near any heat so that the milk will dry off the Palm Tungsten E2. Once the liquid drys off completely, the device should turn on again.

Usually, when any liquid enters into stuffs like this, the first thing to do is to remove the battery and dry the device.

But if the Palm Tungsten E2 still refuses to turn on, you can take it to a repairman. If its expensive to repair, you can replace the Palm Tungsten E2.

And if cost of repairs is not expensive you can consider repairing it.

Good luck.

Your Tungsten might not be able to hold a charge. Try charging it for 3-5 hours and try again.

Hello,

there is no patch or update for this. You will have to get Microsoft Outlook 2002 because Microsoft Outlook 2007 cannot work with your Tungsten E2

The Tungsten E2 has been programmed by the manufacturer. It is only when you go for a higher Tungsten Hand-held, that you will be able to use Microsoft Outlook 2007.

Take care.

I having problems with the calibration of my

The unit may be hanging up due to dirt accumulating under the pads and causing wrong/out of turn connection. So use a good cleaner to soft wipe the panel perhaps a slight warming to get rid of any sweat or moisture can also cure the frequent hangups. However even if you push it too much it can go into the loop and hang up. Hence the reset will set the software to get moving again. So try to use it a little more gently and softly and see for a diffferene of the hang ups. I hope this would help. Good day.

Unresponsive touch screen on Palm Tungsten E

Often the problem on these is contamination that gets under the edge of the escutcheon which effectively presses the screen out of the usable area preventing entry in the normal area.

Using special screw driver (very small TORX) remove the covers and clean the screen edges. Note one has to gently pry the cover off when ALL screws are out.

A "sometimes works" method is to run a piece of paper or thin cardstock around UNDERNEATH the rim of the escutcheon to clean the contamination.

Note, you MAY need to "recalibrate" the screen after these procedures.

Hi,

Many factors can influence synchronization

These steps will work ONLY with the HotSync software provided by Palm. If you use third-party synchronization software (IntelliSync, iSync, Missing Sync, etc.), contact the third-party developer for assistance.

Sometimes simply re-installing this software solves your issue.

Are you using window vista?

You'll need to install the latest version of Palm Desktop (get Palm Desktop 6.2). Check out the other information about compatibility at Windows Vista Info Center.

Before you can synchronize, this software needs to be running. Turn on HotSync Manager if necessary.

Perform a soft reset. This is a great trick for solving a number of problems.

Remove the USB HotSync cable, and connect it again.
Do the same with the other end that connects to your computer.

Check for lint or other particles on the HotSync connector on your Palm device. Blow on the connector (or use canned air) to remove the debris.Don't try to sync until the device is fully connected.

Look at the connectors and cables: check the connections between your device and your desktop computer.

Good luck.
