I had the exact problem as you, and was at my wit's end and ready to throw my Zire into the trash can, but decided to give it one last ditch effort by getting in touch with Palm tech support. Boy am I glad I did, because the solution was so easy: what you need to do is hold the power button while you do the hard reset (in the back, using a paper clip), but the key to this step is to keep your finger on the power button for a full 30 seconds. When I tried this same process before, I experienced what you are experiencing, but when I help the power button on for 30 seconds, just like the tech instructed me, it worked on the very first try. It was so easy and it fixed the problem. Give it a try!

Best would be to perform a hard reset. This will delete all your contacts, but also all your other data on your phone as well such as mail, sms, call log, settings etc.

Unscrew the tip from your stylus

Locate the "RESET" hole on the back of your Treo 600

Press and hold the power button on the top of your Treo and then press the reset button with the stylus pin

Remove the pin from the reset hole FIRST, and then release the power button.

The screen will say "erase all data?", tap the up arrow to answer yes

I love TCPMP. It plays anything I could through at it. Go to http://picard.exceed.hu/tcpmp/test/ and download click the tcpmp.palmos.0.72RC1.zip link. You will also need the additional plugins. I recommend at least ffmpeg (video decoder for just about everything).
The project has been discontinued and will be rereleased as BetaPlayer, but there isn't much information about that project yet. But for now, TCPMP is the best solution on the Palm TX.

You can try to leave it for a few hours then charge it again. Or you can replace the batteries. I also have the same problem but after the reset, everything worked fine

Hello AnyMoose I am guessing that 6 years ago, when you posted your "QUESTION", you upgraded your Windows to Operating System to a newer version that is not supported. Hi, erieser, If your new ( used) Z22 has a name "missy", then it is NOT A "BLANK", as you state! You need to do a complete "factory Reset" After the COMPLETE factory reset, you then start the Z22 and name it Absolutely identical to your computer's Z22 name, and then try again to connect. Generally this error means that HotSync manager (via the 4 Outlook conduits) is having a hard time connecting to your Outlook or, in some cases, specifically to your Oultook profile.

you need to run a inbox repair tool.

Make sure you close outlook

Start > My computer > Tools > Folder options > General tab click on show hidden files and folders > Apply ok

Go to the follow wing location to find scanpst.exe
if you are using Outlook 2007
C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office12
If you using Outlook 2003
C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office11

Double click on SCANPST.EXE
Click on browse go to following locaiton where your pst file as been save
C:\Documents and Settings\Robyn M. Drothler\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook\outlook.pst

Click on start > then click on repair

what software did you download for your outlook conduits? the installation cd already has the outlook conduits you need.. you just have to install palm desktop first then you'll be given options whether to sync your handheld with palm desktop or with outlook. choose sync with outlook

Find an antivirus software for your PDA and then install and run it.if this doesnt work, look carefully at your process manager for anything out of the ordinary.
