You did it right, but are you sure the new batteries are fresh, and they are inserted correctly?

Double check. It is really easy to put the batteries in wrong if you haven't used the device in a while. And batteries can be bad, even if newly purchased.

If the Palm was working the last time you used it, being inactive wouldn't kill it. If the batteries that were in it all this time leaked, The leaking chemicals could damage the unit. But that would be pretty obvious when you took the old batteries out.

Once the batteries run down to zero, you would lose any data that was stored in in the. You would have to re-load it from a backup. Even so, it would boot up and take you to the setup screens when you turn it on with working batteries.

Make sure the batteries are OK. Sometimes, even brand new ones are defective.

I think on that model there's a touch icon in the left bottom corner, if you tap there it opens the brightness feature. If not it's in the Preferences.

Try setting the HotSync system to "do nothing" with Date Book and use another calendar program.

I had the exact problem as you, and was at my wit's end and ready to throw my Zire into the trash can, but decided to give it one last ditch effort by getting in touch with Palm tech support. Boy am I glad I did, because the solution was so easy: what you need to do is hold the power button while you do the hard reset (in the back, using a paper clip), but the key to this step is to keep your finger on the power button for a full 30 seconds. When I tried this same process before, I experienced what you are experiencing, but when I help the power button on for 30 seconds, just like the tech instructed me, it worked on the very first try. It was so easy and it fixed the problem. Give it a try!

Just load your iTune library with items with you wants to sync. The connect your iphone & click on Sync button on iphone. Then syncing will start. If you enabled automatic syncing then your iphone will automatically sync while you connects to iTune.

( Note: Do not disonnect your iphone while syncing in progress it will reason for data loss.)

Happy to help you.

Best would be to perform a hard reset. This will delete all your contacts, but also all your other data on your phone as well such as mail, sms, call log, settings etc.

  • Unscrew the tip from your stylus
  • Locate the "RESET" hole on the back of your Treo 600
  • Press and hold the power button on the top of your Treo and then press the reset button with the stylus pin
  • Remove the pin from the reset hole FIRST, and then release the power button.
  • The screen will say "erase all data?", tap the up arrow to answer yes

I love TCPMP. It plays anything I could through at it. Go to and download click the link. You will also need the additional plugins. I recommend at least ffmpeg (video decoder for just about everything).
The project has been discontinued and will be rereleased as BetaPlayer, but there isn't much information about that project yet. But for now, TCPMP is the best solution on the Palm TX.

You can try to leave it for a few hours then charge it again. Or you can replace the batteries. I also have the same problem but after the reset, everything worked fine

Hi, erieser, If your new ( used) Z22 has a name "missy", then it is NOT A "BLANK", as you state! You need to do a complete "factory Reset" After the COMPLETE factory reset, you then start the Z22 and name it Absolutely identical to your computer's Z22 name, and then try again to connect. I am surprised that did not direct you to my 32 other Z22 answers, which cover your question. You can read about your answer and other tips and maintenance procedures at good luck robin dusty graves
