most likely oven got too hot
Is it a Fisher and Paykel electric oven ?

If it stays on the oven after it cools down
remove the power to the oven
may have to flick off circuit breaker or pull the fuse to oven electrical circuit.
Wait 30 seconds and flick on circuit breaker or put fuse back .

Try a power reset:

Reset power to the product:
Power unit down by turning off the circuit breaker(s) or fuse(s) for one (1) minute.
Power unit up by turning on the circuit breaker(s) or fuse(s).
Monitor the oven for one (1) minute to ensure the error code does not display again.
Verify oven operation.

Is there an error code?

Normally, only one oven has a timer function. It is usually the larger one with the fan assisted convection feature. The other is a top mounted secondary oven with a grill and normal side elements and has no timer.

lift the door off it;s hinges then lay it on the floor or a table top and look around the outer edge several screws hold the 2 halves together .CAUTION glass will slide out and break .GOOD LUCK

Check your fuses, make sure the oven is not in timer mode.
