Fan doesn't work on oster wine cellar

First question, do you have power to the unit and the cooling fan is not working? If this is the problem then sounds like one of the two fuses in back panel has burnt out.

I REMOVED AND REPLACED THE

i have a felling your temp control board went out, the fuse does not blow for just anything. and seeing how you have a temp problem now. Make sure your compressor is working the fuse you put in is much higher then the one that comes in the cooler and being that it is a higher fuse it may not blow. The first thing you need to find out is why did it blow the fuse?! find the that and you have found your problem

Motor seems to be running,

Hi there

You think the motor is running this can often only be the fan inside, the only way to check if the compressor is running is to pull the unit out listen carefully. You can feel the compressor to see if it is running but BE CAREFUL, if the compressor has a problem it can get to around 180 deg f (80 deg C) you may have to use a glove, or with the unit switched off and unplugged wet your finger then touch the compressor, any moisture will evaporate very quickly if it is hot. There may also be a fan on the condenser, check if this is running.

1. If the compressor is cold it is likely that there is no power going to it from the thermostat this is a very common failure and fairly easy to do if you feel competent.
2. If the compressor feels hot and there is a fan next to it which does not run then it is likely to be the fan.
3. If the compressor is hot and the fan is running try cleaning the condenser grille gently with a soft brush and vacuum cleaner.
4. If 3 above is OK and still nothing then either there is a problem with the gas charge or there is a problem with the compressor, either of these will need your local reputable service guy.

Let me know if I can help further

Stopped cooling no humming or nothing digtal

you need to replace the fan at the back of the unit. no noise means the fan is not working. The fan removes the heat from inside the unit to cool it. no fan, no cool. Your local appliance repair can fix it. the fan does not cost much and there isn't much labor involved. If you want to tackle it yourself then take your model number to the appliance store and order a fan, remove the back and replace the fan. Some fans are plug and play, some are not. if yours is not plug and play then you will have to splice wires. either way, the fan is your problem.

My wine cellar (Model: ow0912H6H) still runs but

I had the same problem and noticed that the lint screen behind the cooler was full of lint where it was almost completely clogged. I vacummed it and it seems to have done the trick.

Dose not run or cool. Red light appearsat back.

First of all check the fuse on the main board
The fuse is on the circuit board covered with a black tube. It looks like a upside down "U" on the upper left hand side of the board, next to a copper coil. (The shrink tube keeps the fuse from shorting out with the copper coil.) It is not the fuse on the lower right that you can easily see. It is not easy to find this 5 amp fuse because its covered in black plastic (heatshrink), and is soldered on to the circuit board. There is another glass fuse that's easy to see, that is not the one. check the continuity of both the fuses and find which is blown out. remove the fuse by locating the connections for the fuse on the back side of the circuit breaker and heating the connections with a soldering iron. pick up an in-line fuse holder and a 6.3 amp 5x20mm fuse at Radio Shack and soldered it in place. will have to make the holes on the circuit board a tiny bit larger to fit the fuse holder in. a 6.3 amp to 7.0 amp fuse is perfect. The 5 amp was definitely too small.
but if fuse is not blown then,if you hear the compressor turn on but not the fan, replace the fan and you may have to defrost the evaporator coils. if the compressor does not turn on either, it's the thermostat, the defrost timer, or a relay on the main board.
if you are not familiar with doing this you can get it done by local repair technician familiar with this. its a easy and normal fix.
This will help. Thanks please keep updated.please do rate the solution positively .thank you for using fixya.

Blows hot air only inside

The thermocouple circuit is probably reversed. Take the unit back.

THE UNIT IS NOT COOLING AT ALL AND THE FRONT

unit can be low on freon or have leak from the unit, more likely the compressor motor is burnt out which happened twice to us. I think they used fairly cheap motors, who's knows. From my experience and hate to say the brand is awful, would not recommend the brand and the products. many consumer complaint of the product, I had two of them my self, good price and not expensive. First one last us 8 month and it quit working, took it back where I purchase it and got another one and though it was a manufacture defect and it too also quit after a year, contact the company no help there, this kind the unit is built to used once when it quit you dump it. Part are imposible to get. you can check out this complaint site, I also made a complaint. Not even worth taking it to local small ac repair, it will cost you have of the price for the new one. better off getting a different brand. www.consumeraffairs.com/homeowners/oster_wine_cooler.html

I have an Oster 12-bottle wine celler model

Hi, could be faulty thermostat, can you check compressor, is compressor running (working), listen to compressor for clicking sound, unplug it(switched off) for about 20 minutes, replug and let it run (work) for another 20 mins. see if temp. drops, what about temp. inside bottle (wine) cooler, is it 98 or colder, more info. could be valuable. check thermostat, check to see if compressor operates, if cooler temp. 98. remove you products, to another cooler, call mechanic.

The temperature icon does not light up so you can

when you are setting the temp the display shows the set value .. but when you release the buttons for a few seconds the display reverts back to the actual temp inside .. so if you set it at 55 deg F .. after a second or so it will jump back to 70 or whatever it happens to be at that time inside the cabnet .. eventually it should go down to your set point (several hours) .. but mine didnt .. it stayed at the room temp forever .. the fan was running but the solid state cooling device actually had no power (requires about 4 amps at 12 volts).... the problem was a blown fuse in the power supply inside the cabnet .. make sure the unit is not plugged in if you are going to take the back off the machine ... in my case all that was needed was to replace the primary side fuse (about 2 or 3 amps i think) there wasnt but there could have been other problems as well .. the power supply is what they call an "off line switcher" when it is plugged in it has dangerous voltage and current levels .. so again dont plug it in unless it is assembled in a safe manor ..
the same power supply might power the "back light" for your display ..
