You do not have enough listed for specifics but you do need to match your sub with the amp from an ohm standpoint and a wattage standpoint. I am sure your amp can handle down to 4 ohms but may handle 2 ohms. Find that out and then check on the output wattage of the amp. A lot of people have separate amps for the sub itself and run the system off of another amp. Either way is acceptable.

box size? look it up on google in the specs or manual for your sub. it should say whats it is. bigger is better unless you have a sealed box or rubber surround

Starsound 12" 2000w Subwoofer - 700rms - stamped slim steel basket - dual 4ohm 2" ASV voice coil - 40 oz magnet structure - rubber gasket ring - silver push terminal Not that good of quality speakers. You would be lucky if they lasted a couple months pushing 700 watts rms.

The schematic or service manual doesn't appear to be available online. You may have to contact Orion. Verify the REM input to the amp. It should be 12V when the car is on and 0V when the car is off.

It\'s the same as any electronic repair. You need a good soldering station and a good solder sucker, quality hi-tech electronic resin-core solder and good technique. One mistake missing one component that should have been caught and the whole thing goes up like fireworks and you begin again. Have fun :)

what are the resistances of the front speakers?

send it out to a professional. you need many precise metering tools to measure if everything reads ok, you need to replace other pieces that may not show physical damaged.

the prq can be used after a head unit before crossover and amps. it is a preamp/equilizer and you must have an orion amp in the signal chain that uses the 5 pin din plug to provide power to the prq via phantom power. if you have a crossover it must be a brand with the same 5 pin din pinout input and output. the din pinout is 1\+15v, 4\r. ch input, 2\ground, 5\l. ch input, 3\-15v. left to right or clockwise on din. the power can be supplied to the prq with an optional 100 pps power supply unit. rca from head unit feed the input and the 5 pin din is the output .

the constant power should be run to the battery. The "turn-on power" should be run to your radio which only comes on by the ignition. If it still comes on then your radio is wired to come on without key. Then you have to check the constant and turn-on wires for it.

Depending on the type of amp, yes. not all amps are created equal, just because it says 800 watts doesnt make it so. but a true 800 would be plenty.

Hello. Quick answer...bad sub and amp combo due to fact that your sub needs a lot more power than this amp can produce (I'll explain later). But here is how you can do it: You can wire this dual 4 ohm sub in parallel or series. Parallel wiring would be to wire two the positive terminals on the sub to each other and wire two the negative terminals on the sub to each other. Thus wiring down the sub to 2 ohm. This what the amp would see. Series wiring would be to wire the positive and negative terminals on the same side of the sub to each other. Then wire the positive and negative terminals on the other side to the amp. Thus wiring the sub to 8 ohm. This what the amp would see. Illustrations can be found here: http://www.the12volt.com/caraudio/woofer_configurations.asp?Q=1&I=42#resultsYour sub specs are 1500 watts rms (how many watts your sub needs to operate efficiently or its minimum requirement. It has the a peak wattage at 3000 watts that it can accept in short duration. Your amp can only produce 300 to 600 watts at 2 or 4 ohm respectively. So you would be greatly under powering the sub which would produce a weak unfulfilled sound. You need an amp that produces a true 1200 to 1800 watts rms. There is a great selection out there.

No. These subs are rated at 1500 RMS each. So you need an amp that will produce at least 3000 watts RMS at 2 ohm load or if you wire each sub to a separate amp down to 1 ohm...then you will need an amp that will produce at least 1500 RMS. Those subs can handle more than they are rated though.
