If indeed it is wired correctly, and your wires go where you think they do, then your Orbit is defective. Test by removing wires 1,2,3, and 4. Push for 1, and touch wire 1 to the connector for 1. Sprinkler 1 comes on? Touch wire 1 to the connector for 2. Sprinkler 1 comes on? If yes to both, then Orbit is broken.

Based on my knowledge of Orbit branded products like yours your timer has failed and you need to replace the unit with another more reliable brand. Orbit has real issues with their designs.

I agree that the tech help is good. I had the Power off bulb showing. I tested the connection with my multimeter...and power was arriving at the timer. They said it had to be replaced and was out of warranty, as it has been discontinued as of 2007. ;-( So I got out my hose and did it by hand for a bit...

The momentary switch that advances to the next zone is malfunctioning & stuck on. So it keeps going. I noticed it this afternoon. It ran over &over for hours.

Program modes
Program A or 1 is your primary program setting. All Zones will run on this program.
Select program B. Or 2
Set start time for program B usually an hour or two after the LAST zone (12) run time on program A or 1
1. set selected run time for the zones you want to run. 5 min -20 min ( leave the others 00:00 or off)
Select program C or 3
And repeat above.

Keep track of the start times of each program as 12 zones running for 10 min will add up to 120 min or 2 hours total. So if Program A/1 starts at 6am it will finish at 8 am. Set program B/2 start time at 11am. Them select the specific area/zone you want to run again will water the area a second time. Just remember to leave the other areas you don't want to water Set at 00:00 or off. Repeat through all the programs and you off to enjoy your day. Cheers

Is it a one way valve? If so you may need to turn it around, if it was just installed from new... make sure that the dust caps are not inside the valve and obstructing the line

I am certain that if you took it all the way apart, you would find corrosion on the board that controls the unit.
