How do you get the top off the starfrit blender, it appears to have created a suction, cannot budge it.

Yes you can replace it for some kind of better device. I recommend you to check reviews about quiet blenders before purchasing some kitchen tools like that one.

When I power on my ninja blender nj602 the light is solid red. The problem is when I press the buttons, it works for not even a second then turns off. I can push pulse over and over as long as I want to blend stuff, but that's not convenient at all. Help!
Is probably a binding problem with the motor shaft bearing or the circuit card is fried. If you've tried giving it a good cleaning and that didn't work it's a good bet the unit is junk. Suggest buy a new one.

My ninja blender motor starts but the blades don't turn
As stated earlier it could be the shaft needs lubing, remove the bottom part of the blender blade... the rubber thing that engages on the motor. I started with WD-40 and worked some lithium grease into it. Spins like new now.

Power is getting to the base but the blender is not turning on not even a buzz or any sound
There could be a build up of rust and/or the grease to lubricate the shaft has hardened and is preventing the shaft from turning. Most likely solution is to disassemble, clean, re-grease and reinstall.
