How do I clean the battery contacts

The best way to clean battery contacts, is using a rubber eraser (for pencils). Rub it gently to the contacts, try battery first and do camera then if no result. I have used a file on stubborn contacts, but there is a chance you can do harm to the contacts, so be very careful. If this don't work, try another battery. Else, go to the shop to have them look at it. Good luck! :)

Help, my camera seems to work ok , but if i take a

Hello,

One possibility that you have to check is the outdoor setting of your camera, it may have been set on a night mode that's why it's capturing too much light or it may be on an indoor mode that do not allow you to take outdoor pictures, just double check the setting or restore the default setting and it's best if you read the manual to help you set it up the way you desire.

Hey my Olympus 230 digital

If you are using a memory card, take no more pics until you've recovered the photos, take the card out of the camera. This is to reduce the chance of you overwriting some of your "lost" photos. There are many good freeware photo recovery software options that are available to help you recover your photos. This blog article reviews and outlines several of the better ones.
All the download links listed in the article are through CNET, primarily to verify that these are malware free software, and to give you a chance to read user reviews on the software before downloading.

How to delete all photos on Olympus camera memory disk while in camera

Erasing data completely [MEMORY FOTMAT] / [FORMAT] In the settings menu you find Memory format / format choose that and confirm. BUT!!!! before you format, check if no important data is on the card. When you format the internal memory, your instruction manual (if still there) will be deleted, so first make a backup of that. All new cards (or cards you use for the first time in the camera, should be formatted. You could check the manual for more details.

Camera had viruses(4), computer removed, and now it says camera empty, but pictures still on there

Try NOT connecting your camera to your computer. The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries. Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo management program such as Picasa ( http://picasa.google.com ).
