I have a 2004 Volvo XC90 with a malfunctioning

Hello John. I do not know where you live but I recommend that you look in the yellow pages for an auto electric shop or an auto stereo shop. Almost all stores that sell stereo equipment install or know of nearby shops that do. I agree that the $1600 price is high. Good luck with it. Joe

Need code for volvo v40 radio

The HU-605 radio is made by MITSUBISHI and unfortunately the code is not normally available for free  (using the Serial Number ) from anywhere on the Internet as access is required to the original factory database which is only available at the Main Volvo Dealer ( and just a few of the larger Decode Services)

However , many VOLVO Dealers will provide  this code for free provided you can quote the car`s VIN number+ Radio Serial Number and have all the car documents available.

If not, then the alternative option is a Decode Service or your local Car Radio / Audio Store who will plug in a laptop to electronically read/recode the memmory chip (EEPROM)

Dodge neon w/ cassette player. bought cd changer

i have a 4 disk changer that had flashing error lights, i took the 3 screws off the top, 4 out the front sides that hold in the face. and then removed the 4 micro screws fron the top shiny metal cover on the front inside. this allowed me access to the internal disks that were inside. i removed them all and put it all back together. it seems that when i had work done to my car they had disconected the battery and when this was done the changer reset with disks inside still. one of them must have gotten dislodged and this is how i got the error. placed the changer back into the car and to my surprise it worked like new again. there was nothing on the forums or any search to help me out so i decided to repair myself. the worst i could do was find that there was nothing i could do and buy a new one. i just saved myself 100 dollars. hope you have the same luck

The 6-disc CD changer in my 2007 Hyundai Sonata LX

Hi,

Is it a problem with one cd or with all of them.

If its just one of the CD, please check the CD for cracks, scratches, fingerprints.

If ts all of the CD then possibly its the lens that needs to be cleaned or repaired.

Also woudl like to know if the CD changer ejects the CD's.

The antena on my 2005 chev silverado broke off at

You will have to replace the whole base along with the antena wire that goes into the cab. ON the base you will need to remove the retaining nut. The base will fall into the fender well. You will need to find the antena wire with in the cab, disconnect and reove it with the base. When installing the new antena you will need to put the antena through the fender well and tighten the retaingin nut. Feed the wire back through the are where the old was and reconnect. Good Luck. Please rate.

you should have a shelf in the trunk to set the player in. It also should have the harness there with the bracket.

If you have a wagon it's inside the left hand access door by the tailgate.

6000cd RDS EON radio not working in Ford Mondeo

Inspect the fuse closer. Flashing means arcing.
The fuse may APPEAR ok, but testing may yeild different results.
Inspect the wiring as well, as it may have shorted as well.

Thanks

Check out www.alldatadiy.com. They have repair manuals for all makes/models of cars. I signed up with them for my Saturn (Ion), and also for an 88 Toyota Pickup. It is cheaper than buying the repair manuals directly from Saturn.
