Nuova Simonelli Coffee Makers & Espresso Machines - Answered Questions & Fixed Issues
Machine not filling with water and tripping thermal fuse, how to fix??
It sounds like the issue may be related to the water flow, as you mentioned that the machine is not filling with enough water. This could be caused by a malfunctioning water solenoid, pump, or manual water fill valve.
To troubleshoot the issue, you may want to try the following steps:
- Check the water supply: Make sure that the water supply to the machine is turned on and that there are no kinks or blockages in the water line.
- Check the water filter: Check the water filter to make sure it is not clogged or needs to be replaced.
- Check the water solenoid: If the water solenoid is not functioning properly, it may not be allowing enough water to enter the machine. Check to make sure that the water solenoid is receiving power and that it is opening and closing properly.
- Check the pump: The pump is responsible for pumping water through the machine, so if it is not working correctly, this could be causing the issue. Check to make sure that the pump is receiving power and that it is pumping water through the machine.
- Check the manual water fill valve: If the manual water fill valve is not working, this could be preventing water from entering the machine. Check to make sure that the valve is open and that water is able to flow through it.
If none of these steps resolve the issue, it may be best to contact a professional technician to diagnose and repair the machine.
I have a Nuova Simonelli Mac Cup 2 Group. 1 group works fine. 2nd ... NO WATER gets to the group head.
It sounds like you may have a clog in the water line or the tubing that leads from the water tank to the 2nd group head of your coffee machine. To address this issue, you can try the following steps:
1. Disconnect the tubing from the group head and the water tank.
2. Flush the tubing with hot water to remove any buildup or debris.
3. Check the inlet and outlet holes on the group head to make sure they are not clogged or obstructed.
4. Reattach the tubing to the group head and the water tank, making sure it is securely connected.
5. Test the water flow to see if it is now flowing properly.
If the water still does not flow after following these steps, you may need to disassemble the group head and inspect it for any further blockages or damage. If you are not familiar with this type of maintenance, it is recommended to seek assistance from a professional.

There must be a problem with the main board as it is suppose to react with the water level sensor on the tank. Is the pump running during extraction? if not, them motor is the problem. if pump working and no water coming out the grouphead, the gigleur is clogged. this gigleur is located on the out of the flowmeter.
