Tasco nv 356 night binoculars

Check the HV to the tube and see if you can see any discolouration or spots on the tube - they often indicate tube failure. Many binoculars use the one power supply for both tubes as the current demand is very low. Often, one tube operation indicates tube failure, but a wire or connection could be at fault.

No image at all

Try replacing the batteries with brand name, photo quality AA's (energizer E2 lithium would be my first choice). 1st gen night vision devices (which is what the NS-156 is) are very sensitive to voltage, and cheap batteries just don't have the "oomph" to power up the intensifier tube. I've bought quite a few "broken" 1st gen devices for between $20-$50, "fixed" them with good batteries, sold them and usually at least quadruple my $$ off the deal. No guarantee, but it's a great place to start. Good luck!

Looking for a free download of the newcon lrm 1500 spd owner's manual.

Most of the time the company web site will have full instruction manuals in pdf form. You can get a free download of adobe reader if you haven't got it installed on your computer yet. You can save the file in a folder for later use and can also print it. Unfortunately it is like a photo and you cannot make changes like putting the serial number and other information on the pages. But you can always put that on notepad and put it in the folder as well. Depending, some manufacturers web sites are tricky. You have to search for it. Others have a search option and all needs to be done is put the make, model and product (newcon lrm 1500 spd owner's manual.) and it should take you to a download page.

Hi, There is a shield in there that only refects in the recile only and it has come loose or was never seated right most of these units are sealed and some are nitrogen charged In simple terms it is broke, if under warranty get a new one if not try pleading your case to the sales clerk, because they will probably counter with you dropped it. Right after it is designed to take recoil shots day after day. Al you can do is try.

I HAVE A DN140. NO

When you put fresh batteries in this it can take up to two minutes before you see anything. If the batteries are good and in the right way then you have a problem. It could be a sensor problem or a pcb problem. These are sensitive enough to kill if someone turns it on in daylight and very easy if they flip the lens cap up. So what you need to do is check batteries and then you probably need to talk to NewCon support.

There are phone and email links on this page. They can repair it for you.

Yes, some time the IR illuminate is encased in a small tube. Just unscrew the cover on the IR and see if you can remove it from the. Also sometime IR illuminator is in the back with a couple screws holding it in place. I will also tell it could get to be complicated. Just take you time and you will succeed in your endeavors. Little black and white dots inside the lens

It's not a problem with your NV monocular. These spots will occur on any image intensifier tube. EXAMPLE: Military standard states that if more than one black spot appears on the tube, then this image tube is rejected for use by the US Military Now like you NewCon Optik DN 140M it manufactured in Russia and they quality control doesn't even match the US Military Standards. On scale 1 to 10; US Military rating for the image tube would be 10+ while the Russian maybe 2+ and I said maybe. Another thing to remember here is that no two image intensifier tubes are the same. It just like finger prints on people not two are the same. It normally. stewbison

Yes, First, when you take the lens off you binocular make sure you are in a very clean room.
All you have to do is unscrew them. Use a good lens clean that is anti-static. If you don't every piece of lent, dusty bugs, flaky shin, etc. will be attached to those lens. stewbison

We have the newcon optik.

Hello there, alway check the battery. It can be check with a DMM for voltage but the battery needs to have a load on it. Hook up a couple flashlight bulbs across the + and - terminals. Then check the voltage across the battery with the load (bulbs). If the voltage across the battery is about 2.6v on a 3 volt battery with the load it's OK. Example: The same with your car battery that has a 12 volt system.---put a DMM across the terminals and it show approx 12 volts. Try starting the vehicle and if the voltage dropes below 10 volt while trying to start the auto, then the battery is or needs to charge. or it's bad Example, to check you vehicle to see on DMM if it is really charging. Start the vehicle and let it run, then check the voltage across the 12 volt battery. It should be 13.8 volts. This will indicate that the charging system of the vehicle is work. stewbison

Where to access the battery

It could be on the top with a small hatch door that holds two AA batteries. Also, there could be a screw in cap on the back that could hold one or two CR123A 3 volt batties.

Unless it has finger crip lever on the top, this piezo electric plunger. The plunger needs to be activated about twenty plus times to build some current for the storage capacitors that will charge a small batteries. stewbison

I can't figure out how

there should be a beveled lock ring on the eyepiece.look at it closely...there should be numbers or letters on it...now turn the eyepiece in half way....hold the eyepiece with one hand and wrap a piece of rubber cord around the the bottom of the eyepiece that has the numers or letters on it and twist ,,,it should come apart...the eyepice is actually two pieces the problem is sometimes you will have to apply a little heat to break the seal do not use pliers or it will damage them ..if i can talk you through it i will.. give me a call at 5088330650......www.reichinstruments.com
