Remove the LCD protection cover
There are two round pins on the top of the MobilePro P300 protection cover. You must pinch the two pins together in order to release the hinge and remove or replace the cover from the unit.
Methods of extending the battery time
Decrease the Front Light brightness while the MobilePro P300 is on battery power. To do so, tap Start --> Programs --> My Settings and tap the Front Light icon. Click the "DC" tab and decrease the brightness level to the desired level.
Disable the record button
Tap Start --> Programs --> My Settings, tap Wakeup Icon, remove the check mark from "Recorder Button", and tap "OK". The record button will not work when the MobilePro P300 is off.

Print through the USB port to a USB printer
This capability is available as an installable option from 3rd party software vendors, and possibly from some printer manufacturers. A compatible printer with a Pocket PC 2002 driver is required. See www.Westtek.com
USB Mouse
You need a USB driver which the peripheral vender provides in order to use a USB mouse. Your P300 does not support a USB mouse without an additional driver.
USB Keyboard
You can use a USB Keyboard if you have an optional USB Host I/F conversion cable.
JAVA
P300 supports Insignia JAVA VM.
PPPoE
No, it doesn't support.
PPP
The P300 supports PPP PAP Authentication, PPP CHAP Authentication, PPP MS-Chap Authentication, and PPP Password encryption - MD5, but it does not support PPP data stream encryption.
Upgrade the software and operating system
Yes, the OS is stored into a flash memory partition and can be changed, but this is not currently available to customers. NEC will provide an OS upgrade service at a future time.
