Nakamichi RE-5, CD-5, MD-5 connections? I've lost
The system control is essentially a link between units.
This is required for the remote to access all the units as the re receiver is housed in the RE-5 unit and relays the signals between the units via 3.5 inch mono jack, generally a short black cable to interlink the units. The RE-5 have 1 and add on units have 2.
Nakamichi AV-10
The contacts in the switch are probably oxidized or warn out. More than likely it is oxidized.
You can get some switch and control cleaner from most any electronics poarts supplier.
You have to open the reciever to get access to the noisy switch. You would then spray a little of this cleaner in to the switch. Then work the switch back and forth rapidly to clean it.
If this does not work, then the switch would have to be changed.
If you don't feel confortable to do this procedure, you can bring the receiver to a service shop. They would be doing this type of service routinely.

Nakamichi 680ZX deck: turning speed indicator to half speed does nothing

it sounds like the laser lens is missing, undo the 4 screws and flip the laser assembly over to check if lens is on, these unit have a common problem with the lens falling out. If lens is out and you find the lens it can be glue back in place, Use white general purpose glue NOT crazy glue as it will cloud up the lens.Note if you remove the lens assembly ribbon cable you will need to short the pin on the cable to prevent static charge destroying the laser, this must be done before removing ribbon cable, once you plug ribbon cable back in remove the short on the ribbon cable

The DR1o might have a Sankyo transport and they have sense fingers that become tarnished. This needs to be serviced to make the deck work. It is possible that the deck is still in play mode which blocks the eject from taking place. Unplug the unit and open it up and rotate the worm gear with a finger and the door will eventually open up but do not force things as understand the size of motor in the unit that normally turns the worm gear.

Hi,I would suggest you to first trying unplugging/ switching off your device for 5 minutes. This restores and refreshes the device. Go for it
Let me know if this works, if it doesn’t then I’ll provide some other alternative solution.
Thanks
