Can open file index 39

Hello,

I advice you uninstall the program and reinstall back after uninstalling, the problem could be that the program is corrupt and will need to be uninstall and reinstall for it to work effectively.

Uninstall the program and reinstall back after uninstalling and ensure you restart your system after reinstalling.

Take care.

DM Error = 3000-5049-7000-158

Unfortunately the error number is meaningless, it does not relate to anything in the file, like a transaction. There is a corruption in the file. Run the Optimiser from your MYOB folder and try to optimise the file. This fixes some but not all corruptions. Otherwise restore a backup. These guys can fix such errors http://www.fghtables.com/

Enter transactions for closed financial year

Do a backup before you try this. Go to File - Start a New Year - Start a New Financial Year. Continue through the next few screens until you see the Current financial year and a box showing the New Financial Year. Say your current financial year is 2013 and the New Financial Year shows as 2014. Change this to 2012 and then continue through the screens til the end. Then check your financial year under Setup - Company Information, you will find it now shows 2012. Enter the transactions you need, then go through the process again to change to 2013. This is an undocumented feature un-supported by MYOB. Try with caution - not aware of any serious consequences but a few I know have done this. Changing your system date and opening MYOB is a sure fire way to get locked out. MYOB records the date each time you open it. If the date goes backwards, it locks you out. Part of their protection.

Corrupt MYOB data file

Our MYOB 14 .dat file is crashing. We suspect a corrupt entry in the database. The file will open but as soon as we trying to do anything the program closes and produces the following error: MYOB must terminate. Termination Code 1284 Important Details: Error -3000 in DMGTEKey (5037:7000:69) Seems to be the same error every time. We have tried running MYOB's Verify and Optimise tools with no luck. Each time either tool is run the program crashes and displays the error: An error occurred while attempting to compact the database. DM Error = (-3000-5049-7000-158) Restoring from a backup is not an option as last backup was 3 months ago. So looking for solutions to fix the current file please. Will not be satisfied if the solution is to take it to MYOB. Need someone who can actually dig around inside the file and correct the errors??
